concise thoughts from the wtbts.
par.2) however, there are numerous situations for which the bible provides no specific command.. par.3) in the absence of specific laws, how can we know what choices will please jehovah?.
par.16) many matters could be decided one way or another, and jehovah would still be pleased.. .
My personal decision today, based on 'common sense', don't go to the wt meeting!

having watched many jc youtube videos one question that gets asked is "where else would you go?".
in other words if not jehovah's witnesses then what other religion or organisation would you go to?.
it's one that i have trouble answering, what would you say?.
Try getting involved with life! It's really pretty interesting and fun!

the watchtower today says not to think of sex, or to have sexual fantasies.
i'm just wondering... how many people in the hall hearing this watchtower today would be having sexual fantasies?
sitting there thinking about sister hottie or brother hunky ?.
I wonder why the wt didn't cite the wonderful biblical example of fabulous King David, a man after jehober's own heart? I'm sure that the gb knows that David never had sexual fantasies regarding Bathsheba---right?
Or how about the other wonderful bible characters that the wt so loves to point out as examples for christians today? I'm thinking Abraham-no sexual fantasies about Hagar, Sampson-no sexual fantasies about prostitutes, and let's not forget about poor old grief stricken Lot-no sexual fantasies about his 2 daughters!

blondie’s highlights from the july 17, 2016 wt study (2016) (how do you make personal decisions?.
https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/.
excellent general website: www.jwfacts.com .
In other words, It's perfectly okay to make 'personal decisions' as long as your 'personal decisions' are perfectly harmonious with the latest wt approved divine teaching that can only be revealed to us through the mystical 'faithful and discreet slave'! Yea---let's go with that!

so i hooked into meeting via phone this week to listen in and was shocked at the absurdities mentioned in the study article (2016 may watchtower: "go,..and make disciples of people of all the nations").
the answer is obvious—only jehovah’s witnesses.
the answer the missionary priest gave in no way proves that jws are the only ones "preaching the good news".
In all their bragging about there 'marvelous' accomplishments that identify them as the 'only true religion', I wonder why they forgot this verse from James 1:27
" The form of worship that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world."

4300 in attendance - 17 baptized.
odd mix of congregations assigned, i'm sure to throw off any scent of a decline.. no distinction made whatsoever between loyalty to jehovah god and loyalty to the watchtower bible and tract society.
the convention is riddled with parts whipping up your love for the creator and jesus, with a quick reminder that the wbts are their gatekeepers.. parallels are implied constantly between israel and jehovah's witnesses.
Laughing my ass off at the baptism numbers! Getting lower each year! jehober is truly 'slowing down' the work!
He needs to take his chariot in for repairs!

i was wondering why they ended the "bunker video" as they did ... with an armed militia finding the jws huddled in the corner of the basement ... fade to black.
the jws watching don't know what happened after that.
did they kill them?
If jehober is going to "protect his people" as we have been absolutely 'guaranteed' for decades, why the f*ck are they hiding in a bunker? They should be out there preaching the 'final judgement' message! Me thinks that the borg don't really believe jehober will do his job as a loving father! LMFAO

i was raised as a jw and 1975 expectations were pretty intense.
as i recall, most people did not leave after the failed expectations but many s l o w e d down.
now, i think most of the 1975 witnesses are gone or barely in.. is the older generation still around in the kingdom halls or are they much gone?.
Yea, I'm still here! I was a 28 year old elder, the Presiding Overseer no less, in 1975. By January of 1976 there was a nearly unanimous unwillingness to even mention the 'great disappointment' among the "faithful". F*ck, I wish I would have had the good sense to run then, but like other fools, I stayed! It was like a pyramid a big scheme (pun intended)!
As is being mentioned in this OP, most of those still 'in da troof' from that time refuse to admit that the borg really did emphasis 1975 as the "end". It's classic denial to say otherwise. Mad Freddy must be laughing his skinny little ass off!
