"Are your kids in or out with you?"

My kids are now 44, 42, 36, and 34. They are all jw's 'in name only'. They have seen my fade and realize why and have made up their own mind regarding watchtowerism. BTW, they are also very good family men and women since none of them have ever "reached out" for the glory of elder-dumb! 7 grandchildren and none of them are very active dubs.

Still with the same wife, no divorce. I can't really blame her for seeking the comfort of another. She was basically ignored because I was so damn important to the organization. She is a very special woman and I truly love her. Will celebrate our 50th in January.

Makes me wonder what the gb think of higher education when they need medical treatment of legal advice. "Oh thank jehober that the doctor saved my life! Thank jehober that we won that court decision"! Praise jah!

Makes me wonder if the gb or any other high ranking jw ever needed to receive 'blood fractions' to save their holy lives; where would the blood fractions come from? Would jehober provide, or would some 'worldly person' donate whole blood?

So I was having a very cordial conversation with my lovely jw wife and her very lovely super duper jw mother last week. They were both kindly encouraging me to “return to Jehovah”. After all, as they both reminded me, I have so much to give to the organization; I had been a child prodigy and a ‘golden boy’ in the wt organization during the 60’s and 70’s, and early 80’s. During the latter 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s the shine of the wt organization faded and so did I.

Basically, I was a ‘born in’, baptized at 12, pioneered, gave my first public talk at 18, married (so I wouldn’t commit fornication) at 19, appointed as an elder at 25 after serving my 2 year sentence for ‘draft dodging’, raising my children “in the discipline of jehober”, and doing all the ‘right stuff’ for the organization. However, I was also severely neglecting my young family. It took a toll on my beautiful wife and she temporarily found comfort in the arms (bed) of another. Oh well, shit happens!

Our cordial conversation included all of the above mentioned caveats. So I concluded it by reminding both wife and M-I-L that shame on the wt for ‘fooling us once in 1975—shame on us for being fooled twice by believing that “this generation” would end in 1994! “Returning to Jehovah” would be like fooling me thrice—and that ain’t gonna ever happen!

Jehovah God,Christ Jesus ,IBSA ,why no direct communication between Heaven and Earth ?

according to jehovah`s witnesses christ jesus was enthroned in heaven in 1914 .. the international bible students ,c.t.russell as president was approved byjesus christ shortly after as the channell approved by jehovah god to dispense spiritual food to his faithful followers here on earth.. why is it that after 100 years of jesus christ rule from heaven over his chosen people , the jw`s , that their is no direct contact between jesus christ and his earthly channell of communication ,namely the wtb&ts , and no direct contact from jehovah god either.. jw`s do not claim to have direct contact with god or jesus christ , isnt that strange ?

after 102 years ruling as king ?.

jesus christ is the greater moses , moses had direct contact with god and his people , so shouldnt the greater moses ,jesus christ have direct contact with his people especially since he is now ruling over them from heaven ?.

You are just too logical. It all happens by magic within the inner circle of the gb! They never actually tell the rank and file how they arrive at certain doctrine, they just tell them to accept and obey.

When did "The Truth" become "The Truth"?

it struck me that while the society and witnesses in general use the expression "the truth" for being a witness, it opens a can of worms..... i mean, when did the society become "the truth"?

after all, as we well know (and feel free to list examples please), the doctrines and teachings, and procedures have changed so much since the organisation started, that what was once "truth" is no longer so and vice versa..... maybe the conversation between jesus and pilate was correct : "what is truth?

".

It's never been 'the truth'. It's always been, however, their 'best guess'. Sort of!

Hey smiddy,

Sounds like we have had very similar experiences in life. I'll soon be 70, 4 great kids and 7 really great grand kids. I too was an ubber dubber for over 5 decades! Gave up on a very promising baseball career, a game that I loved! Raised my kids as ubber dubbers but now that I've escaped the borg, I'm doing my best in a very subtle way to get them to see ttatt!

in other words if not jehovah's witnesses then what other religion or organisation would you go to?.

it's one that i have trouble answering, what would you say?.

i'm just wondering... how many people in the hall hearing this watchtower today would be having sexual fantasies?

sitting there thinking about sister hottie or brother hunky ?.

I wonder why the wt didn't cite the wonderful biblical example of fabulous King David, a man after jehober's own heart? I'm sure that the gb knows that David never had sexual fantasies regarding Bathsheba---right?

Or how about the other wonderful bible characters that the wt so loves to point out as examples for christians today? I'm thinking Abraham-no sexual fantasies about Hagar, Sampson-no sexual fantasies about prostitutes, and let's not forget about poor old grief stricken Lot-no sexual fantasies about his 2 daughters!

In other words, It's perfectly okay to make 'personal decisions' as long as your 'personal decisions' are perfectly harmonious with the latest wt approved divine teaching that can only be revealed to us through the mystical 'faithful and discreet slave'! Yea---let's go with that!
