  i grew up in nyc.

  my book study conductor was one of the more senior elders in his department.

  i used to remember that bethel always gave him (or at least loaned him for ministerial use) a real nice, tricked out, brand new lexus.

  In our area, they gave the CO's Pontiac Bonnevilles until the early 90's whenl they decided that they were "too sporty" and "inappropriate".

  Then it changed to Oldsmobile Eighty Eight.

  I'm sick of being mistaken for a prostitute!

  this has happened far too many times now for it to just be happenstance.

  over the last year or so i've had at least 10 guys try to "pick me up" while i am out walking.

  if it only happened at night it would be one thing but, it's happened early in the morning as well.

  in a way, i think both are selfish.

  i am already an organ donor, so i figure, why not donate the rest of my body to medical science?

  Well, it went from spiritually weak due to in-active parents....

  .......to "ladies man" as I was somewhat popular with the females- but not for the reason you think........

  I didn't want them, I wanted to be them........

  ......then- rebel because I literally told the PO that he could stuff it and

  what did he think of me calling the CO regarding his (mis)handling of a petty incident........

  our power was out for about an hour this morning... it's still out in the area...their sending the kids home from school, but we've got power back on here in town... .

  would you attend the funeral/memorial service?

  assuming that it would be held in a kh; or even if it wasn't.. this is something that's been on my mind lately; honestly, i'm not sure why.

  my parents are both still relatively young; 60 and 61. my dad has been diagnosed with skin cancer but both are otherwise healthy.. i really don't know whether i would; particularly for my father.

  I can't see any point in attending what is basically just another JW meeting. Also, my JW mother has terminated our relationship because she is *ahem* of the elite annointed and I am of the ex-JW tribe. If I never saw her again in my life, it would be no problem for me anymore. I don't need to attend a funeral just to get a glimpse of the corpse of a religious fanatic who long ago ceased being my mother.

  Sums up how I feel about the man that got my mother pregnant. My mother has been dead for years-non-jw.

  When I tried to kill myself 8 years ago after being df'd and going through hell- he didn't even call.

  All I got was a call from my brother saying "we can't help you unless you come back to the meetings".

  TO HELL WITH ALL OF THEM

  Yes there is still alot of anger there- but it's been channeled into making a life for myself and a good one at that.
