Exactly! She may eventually remember how she had no problem talking to a total stranger that she knew was not a JW. She may remember the budding friendship that was taking place. She may also remember that the thoughts in her mind during this time was that she was just being nice in the hopes that she would open you up to accepting the JW nonsense. But when she found out you were a DA'd JW then she changed her attitude and treated you like you had the plague. Absolutley nothing changed. She knew you weren't a JW before. The only difference is that she now knows that you USED to be a JW. So it shouldn't make any difference, whether you never were or used to be, you still AREN"T one now. Maybe she'll remember all of this and think back on the friendship she threw away and the person she made to feel like dirt.

Rescinding Baptismal Status?

Exactly! I mean, even though I am not a JW anymore does not mean that I don't believe in God or the Bible and if what the Bible says is true then Armageddon could happen. If this extends into governments and legal organizations and they want to retaliate against religions or sperate people known to be part of a certain religion then I would not want my name associated with the WTS. Who knows, anything could happen with the WTS or its members and I would not want my name included in some master list they may have.

I have a question. When I left I just stopped going and moved to another state without telling anyone. I have no idea what they consider my status as being and I have no desire to go back. If my status is disassociated am I still considered one of them, even if it's only on paper? Should I write to them to remove my name from their rank and file? Would doing so prevent any possible problems in the future should any Biblical events start to take place? I know that what's in my heart and mind is all that matters to God and Jesus. But let's say JW's are banned or persecuted...would any organizations look at the list of members and see my name on there and do something? What are your thoughts on the matter?

If he wanted to do it there is no one there that could stop him. Do partake of the emblems is to state that you have a strong and personal relationship with God. Since we ALL have a relationship with God EVERYONE should partake and there is NO MAN that can tell YOU that you don't have a strong relationship with God.

To go more along the lines of debating works for salvation you can always point out how the theif that was dying on the cross next to Jesus only expressed faith in him and Jesus said, "Truely I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise". What works did that theif have to do to gain salvation? NONE! All he had to do was accept Christ.
Also you could point out the scripture where some of the appostles were privately ridiculing an old woman who put very very little into the donation pot and how Jesus said that she gave out of her need, the others gave out of their want, and therefore her offering was worth more because it wasn't done to make her look better, as was the case with the others. The others made large donations and made a big deal over how much they were giving in the hopes to boost their status.
Jesus also said that public displays of faith are like whitewashed graves. Nice and clean on the outside but inside they are full of death.

ANOTHER WT "RULE" - Are they kidding?
by Sirona inhttp://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2003/6/1/article_01.htm
does the fact that incense is used in religious ceremonies and in spiritism mean that all incense-burning is wrong?
not necessarily.

"True, all things are clean, but it is injurious to the man who with an occasion for stumbling eats. It is well not to eat flesh or to drink wine or do anything over which your brother stumbles"
I always hated those people that always had to interveen in your activities to say, "You may want to be careful others don't get stumbled because of this." I would just say, "If my doing something as simple as this stumbles them then their faith isn't very strong to begin with and if they stumble it won't be my fault. They should worry about themselves. Maybe you should spend more of your time strengthening him/her faith so that stupid things like this won't stumble them to begin with."

A slave is obedient even to a cruel master?...
by cyber-sista injust recently sister x from the kh where i recently attended had another meeting with the elders there to try and help she and brother x with their abusive marital relationship.
they are constantly meeting with the elders and have done so for many years over this and everything other decision they need to make in their lives.
they are very "elder dependent" but their lives never seem to improve and in fact it just seems to go from bad to worse.

Prince Streetwitnessing?
by Gadget inmy line manager from work got back from holiday in hollywood on sunday, and all day at work yesterday he was telling us all about it.
on his tour of beverley hills he had princes mansion pointed out, but was told that the singer didn't live there anymore, but had bought a bar on sunset boulavard instead and could be found outside it everyday giving out religious leaflets.
and sure enough, when he went down there, prince was standing on the street talking to people and giving them religious leaflets.

Whoever sees Prince or anyone else doing street witnessing should go up to them and ask, "Have you ever considered letting Logic and Common Sense into your lives?"

we had a nice long chat about how she doesn't feel as though she wants to be a jw anymore, and i gave her good guidence, and one of the peices of good guidence i gave her was "do not worry about your reputation, your reputation is held in low esteem by people who are in themselves in low esteem.
" she then told me about how my reputation was slammed down in florida.

I don't know what has been said about me. I'm sure my old friend Dennis (Livejournal username, BEBOPSTAR) has filled their heads with alot of nonsense and lies. If anyone knows anyone from the Shelburne Falls, Ma congregation I would be interested in finding out what is said about me.
