Once feeling guilt is not a joke. Once on the ahem -- relief is of course absurd.

Thankfully, not often. Though I do remember giving myself relief (if you know what I mean) once while I was aux pioneering and serving as an elder and I did feel a little guilt.

Note that using insight while judging applies only to appeals and re-instatement...NOT to disfellowshipping itself.
Translation: boot 'em out quickly for whatever reason, then make the coming back or appeals part painfully arduous by using "insight".
A District Overseer told me many years ago- if you are worried -disfellowship them and worry about the appeals committee later.

Mormons getting hollowed out: The tipping point has occurred.
by Qcmbr inever since mitt romney turned the spotlight on the lds church a growing tsunami of disaffection has been accelerated and brought to a head.. the lds core faithful members are leaving in increasing numbers such that growth has not simply stagnated in the west but it has actively reversed.
to their credit the church is responding aggressively but not only is it too late, it is an impossible task.
you can only paint sh*t so many ways.

Scully said "The best belief system will teach you how to think, rather than what to think."
IMHO - perfectly and succintly stated.

Illegal immigrants in the organization?
by silent ini had a thought today that might prove interesting.
i'm wondering if there are any illegal immigrants who are witnesses?
surely it would be a great position to be in as an illegal immigrant because you could play up your plight and prey on the sympathies of others within the congregation.

I can tell you for 100% certain there are undocunmented JWs in the country. Yes the organizations knows about them. However, they are not allowed to serve as elders, MS, Pioneers.
