They would need a blood transfusion which I would happily consent to --- so I think it was my selfish feelings that I would get DFd for approving blood for my children

Preaching Slowdown
by cornish in.
i can remember numerous talks and study articles about how the preaching work would get more and more intense as we near the end.. one so called prophetic illustration that stands out in my mind was when joshua and his men marched around the city each day and then just before the city fell they marched seven times signifying a quickening of the preaching work.. it seems starkingly obvious that the preaching,is in decline amonst jw's,the jw's are seen less and less often in my neighbourhood,it is very rare to see them out street witnesing around the town centres and railway stations, the average jw spends far less time preaching than a decade ago.. it seems like their chief brag is definately on the wain,in favour of other recruitment methods.

Two sisters I know went/still go shopping for clothes -- and counted the time because they left a tract in the pocket of one of the items of clothing -- I kid you not

I am the worst of the lot of you - I was leading a double life whilst an elder -- and I sat in judgement on JCs on others I am ashamed to say --my double lifes were Gambling, heavy drinking, strip clubs, APOSTACY --always on Randys site www.freeminds.org and read COC, Gentile Times etc. Never did fornication/adultery or coke/pot/smoking though . Then would take the WT the following morning -- never mind comment in it!.

Can "Born-Into-Its" Ever Be Happy?

Well I am in my 40s and used to be an elder though not out of the org yet -- leaving gradually. Came into the truth later in life so has not been too bad for me -- I experienced the world before the truth and then experinced the truth and now experiencing the world again -- I like to think I have balance and will not have too many issues apart from leaving family in etc. It does depend on the person

Is Having Kids Worth It?
by Prisca inok, i'm a single female in her early 30s looking for someone to settle down with.
i'd like to have kids, but the trouble with dating guys who are over 30 is that by now most have a kid and/or have decided they don't want any/more.
so i am getting faced with the dilemma of maybe finding that someone special, but he may not want to have kids.

yes having kids is worth it - I love them -- and if I met some women and we dated and married and she wanted kids -- I would love to have more with her -- I think the crulest thing the WTBTS ever did was try and persaude there members not to have kids becasue the end was so near - - it is/was absoultely none of their damn business -- having kids is great -- but that is a male viewpoint - I appreciate it is the woman that does a large percentage of the work in raising and having kids

Because of their huge influence I would include Elvis & The Beatles - also like The Rolling Stones, REM, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Simon and Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac -- all variations from the Orginal Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac thru -- to when Buckingham and Nicks joined - some of the earlier bluesy stuff is great -- Dragonfly, Black Magic Woman, The Green Manalishi etc.. but also Rhiannon etc in late 70s -- what a great band -- incidentally I was once spoken to very sternly by an elder for listening to Led Zep and Black Magic Woman -- was told they were untheocratic
