do you think the wt has become more lenient or stricter over the year?.
i am 21 and i remember just 4 years ago going to college was looked at as something negative.
girls my age, we had plans to be ft pioneers and become secretaries.

Seriously, like you I wasted time not going to school. I'm 29 now and finally focussed in school and I know what I want to do.
Please, for your own sake do not waste as much time as I did. It doesn't matter if you do not know what you want to do yet. You will soon enough, if you keep going to school.
Get all of your general ed. courses out of the way because those are courses you have to do no matter what major you choose.

some background: i disassociated a year ago and explained why i was leaving to my mom, who agreed with me and told me that she's been thinking of leaving the dubs for nearly ten years.
she's been inactive for the past year and happier than ever.
I am so happy fir you and your mom. I am also very proud of her though I do not know her.
I'm glad the org. doesn't have her mind like it does so many others.

My Dad is disfellowshipped and he always mutters off the same old comment for as long as I can remember:
"Armageddon is almost here, things cannot get any worse. You can feel it in the air"
Sadly my dad thinks he will die at armegeddon. I guess part of him is hoping for Jehovah to show him mercy even though he doesn't feel deserving of it.
i went to a jw funeral wednesday.
it was for the dad of two good jw friends (at least back in the days) of mine.
he was one of the nicest men ive ever known.
When my uncle died a couple years back the Elder gave a nice "Talk" for him. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that this Elder didn't really know my uncle.
My uncle was an un-baptized publisher for maybe a year or two before he died. Nobody from that hall minus my family really knew him.
Can any witness, male of course who is in "good standing" give the memorial service?
My brother is a ministerial servant and I wondered why he didn't give the Eulogy.

i've gotten rid of every bit of trash and wiped down the entire kitchen, but they're still swarming.
I have been annoyed with these flies all summer. I wish I had though of posting here. I looked around Wal-Mart for traps as well but never found anything.
I will not kill most insects that get in the house. I'll catch them and put them outside and spare their little lives if possible. Sometimes though when the ants are too bad I'll have to kill them. But I'll usually spare some of their lives. LOL
Except for roaches, flies and fruit flies I kill those little annoying creatures. LOL
I'd say: Maybe I'll get it right in my next life.

how cruel can these people be??.
1) my dad informs me this spring that my sister is getting married.. 2) i am of course not informed of the actual date incase i decide to show up.
3) i am sent a wedding invitation after the wedding has taken place along with a little letter from mom and dad.. 4) i get an e-mail from my mom with the link to the website of wedding photos and gushing dub comments.... "what a lovely family" blah blah blah.
Krystal, I'm so sorry to hear about this. My family isn't so hardcore so I don't really know how you feel. I wish you the best and I hope your family comes to their senses someday.
