I'm no expert but this really doesn't sound like Celine Dion. There are parts of her voice that do sound a bit like Celine Dion but if you've listened to enough of Celine's music you'd know it's not her just by listening to it. IMHO
I actually have a copy of this cd, my sister gave it to me awhile back. -

I run my car on a fourth to empty a lot. It's a very bad habit of mine. It drives my fiance crazy when he drives with me. But he does the same thing. It drives me crazy when I see him do it too. LOL I haven't ran out of gas since my early twenties. "Knock on wood."
When his mom is here visiting after . . . "Let's put on our seatbelts" She asks "Do we need gas?" LOL It's a little annoying (that and all the other little ways of hers that make you feel like a five year old). But since she lives on the East Coast and we only see her twice a year it's easy to let slide off the back. Maybe I should start a thread and call it mother-in-law. LOL -

Struggling to throw my contact lenses away!
by Trevanian inwhen i first started wearing (soft) contact lenses, in around 1986, they were prescribed for wearing for six months, i think, before being replaced.
over the years the technology has become better, they've become cheaper, and wear time has become shorter... three months... one month... .
now i'm wearing two-week (water-wada-wada-oxygen-permeable-completely-inexpensive-state-of-the-art) contact lenses.. but damn, when i have to throw the little critters in the bin or down the drain after two weeks, i feel guilty as heck!

I'm cheap too and I wear mine for as long as possible. Till my vision is blurred or they tear and/or irritate my eyes.
I think as long as you clean them regularly you can wear them well passed the 2weeks. -

Does your pet do something funny?
by Hortensia inmy cat monty is a scavenger.
every night he brings an odd assortment of items to bed - this picture shows a little sock, two little mittens, a catnip sack, and two cords.
it also shows little lavender sneaking up on him to steal the black cord, which she loves.

Hortensia that is so adorable.
My dogs don't do anything particularly funny. But I'll use your thread (hope you don't mind) to boast about my Shepherd. He is the best dog/pet I've ever had. He is the ideal Shepherd, loyal, obedient, sweet, happy, protective, very smart, and so alert. He walks through our yard regularly just like a guard. We really feel safe w/ him. He looks very intimidating but as long as you're not threatening his territory he is the happiest sweetest thing ever. -

Switch-a-roo Publishers on Bible Studies?
by skeeter1 inwhen i studied with the jws, the first lady studied with me a few months.
then, all of a sudden.....switch-a-roo.....i was "dropped" by "lady #1" and told i had to take "lady #2".
the reason was that i needed a "more mature person" to be my guide.

sandy
That raises a question . . . Were you ever asked if that would be okay with you? It seems like we used to just do that to bible students w/out even asking them their opinion. Another example of J-dubs and their bullying ways.

Thanks for all the replies. I have no medical experience at all. I'm actually going to start taking a class at the local adult school in my area at the end of the month. I have no clue how complicated it. I'm going to start billing for my fiance. Every job I've ever done I've learned through on the job training and I was hoping I could do the same here. My fiance insists I don't need the course. I really think I do. Thanks again for your replies and the links Tatiana.

We had a teenager who got busted for messing with a little kid his mother care for. I don't think the kid's family were witnesses. The guy was formerly accused by a real court and had to go to juvenile hall and then some type of recovery halfway house. He was df'ed and we had no idea why and no idea where he disappeared to.
But we were not in the dark for too long about it. Thank goodness for elder blabber-mouth who used to gossip to his family about all those who had to go before the elders in jc meetings. For once his blabbering did some good. When the teenager came back and go reinstated people knew to keep a close eye on their children.
