  Do You Like To Gamble?

  one of the sins that a jehovah's witness can get disfellowshipped for is gambling.

  those that occasionally gamble, even for pennies, are considered "greedy ones".

  of course, playing the stock market or futures is not considered gambling these are "investments".personally, i enjoy a little gambling.

  I really like to gamble. I am in Las Vegas just about every other month. I used to go there and never really gamble. For a while it did not interest me. I started playing roulette and I was hooked. It is so much fun!

  This last trip I took I started playing Craps. Now that was awesome! I had beginner's luck I guess because I had $40 cash on me when I left and I came home with $300! I didn't have to use my debit or credit card for anything that weekend. That was really exciting to me because I always come home broke.

  I always know my limits though. I nver spend too much over what I originally planned.

  I'll be there again in two weeks. I hope my Luck has not run out.

  What is your favorite Broadway show?

  i have never seen a broadway show in person, but i have it on my to do list before i die..... of course there are some local shows that are being done that i want to take my children to see.

  i think it will be alot of fun, especially for my daughter who adores the musical,,,,,,,cats.........we rented the video of the musical cats,and i have watched most of it.

  as a jw i never pursued my interest in the arts, and i let that part of me die.

  What is your favorite Broadway show?

  i have never seen a broadway show in person, but i have it on my to do list before i die..... of course there are some local shows that are being done that i want to take my children to see.

  i think it will be alot of fun, especially for my daughter who adores the musical,,,,,,,cats.........we rented the video of the musical cats,and i have watched most of it.

  as a jw i never pursued my interest in the arts, and i let that part of me die.

  Are the GB Members Rich?

  i remember hearing a long time ago that "apostates" were spreading lies that the governing body members were all rich and had huge extravagant homes.

  is there truth to theses stories?

  if so, is there evidence?

  I know just how you feel. I remember that paradise lost book. It was a peachy color right? I am barely old enough to remember it......really I am...

  I was always afraid of armageddon to. I still am I guess, only now my fear is: what if the JW are right and I have turned my back on God? That is my greatest fear now. I try to reason with myself and say well, if they are right then Jehovah knows my heart is sincere. My doubts are sincere too. I have so many questions. I was born a JW, I had no choice in the matter. I reaalize now that my time in the Org. was all for others. I had all my friends and family there, Where else was I to go? It really is such a small world in the Org.

  I am doing some research now behind the org. If everything I am finding out on this web site is true, then I will know that the JW Org. is just another religion capitalizing on the fear of armageddon.

  Difference of age

  so many times in the jw, i saw couples getting married.

  but what struck me so often was the difference in age between the man and wife.

  often the man was 15-25 years older than the woman.

  If you marry a girl younger than you and she is too young to even think for herself then I think you are cheating her out of her life. I am 27 I have never been married and do not have children. I think back to when I was 18, 21, 25 and I can see the changes in me. I am not saying that these marriages will absolutely not work but, why put yourself through the hard work it takes to make it work at such a young age? GO TO SCHOOL FIRST! COLLEGE, LEARN TO SUPPORT YOURSELF! Men and women need time to grow up and see life before they marry or have kids. That is the ideal way I know. If only young people would listen to the wisdom of the older ones.

  I cannot say I always listened to my parents. I wish I would have listened to them about plenty of things. I was just lucky to not get pregnant on an occassion or two. I never considered marriage though. I am barely now started to think about that.

  I was baptized at 13 and I never felt a close personal relationship with God. My prayers were without emotion. I nver felt close to God. I only stayed in the Org. till I was 21 because I was afraid of what friends and faily would think.

  I always told my close "Worldly JW" friends I know it's the truth and someday I'll be good and settle down and marry a brother. Deep down I never believed that. I don't know if God even exists at all.

  What are your thoughts?

  What's The Worst Pressure You Endured Because You Were A JW?

  was it internal or external?

  i know of some that pioneered because they felt they had to.

  we know of many that felt awful because they were ridiculed because they were witness children and had to get baptized and face school pressure, all the while hating it.

  I was terrified to go out in field service in my school's neighborhood too all through JR High. I pretended I was normal and lied to all the kids about my non-existant worldly life. As far as they new I celebrated all holidays........ LOL I can't believe the pressure that was.
