i ran into an old friend who i always liked and hung out with from time to time.

she is old enough to be my mother.

i always trusted her and always had this sense that she wasn't exactly a model jw.. i told my jw friend that i talk to a co-worker who is "apostate".

Yeah, I hear what you are all saying. I figure if she does talk then I have two options.

1. Denial

2. Confess - If I were to confess my siblings (some-not all) might shun me but I know my parents would never be able to.

I told my JW friend that I talk to a co-worker who is "apostate". I know many of you think that is a bad idea for someone who is trying to keep it a secret. You may be right.

During our conversation she invited me to go to the DC with her in a couple of weeks. I politely said "No, I cannot make it -thank you but, I'll be out of town that weekend." (Which is true)

She thought I was just making an excuse so she even offered to take me to a DC that my old congregation was not assigned to. She knows I do not want to be bothered by anybody.

So I took a deep breath and said: no that is not necessary but thanks anyways. To tell you the truth I am just not sure I believe the "truth", I am not sure if I ever did. I have been talking to a co-worker of mine who has been sharing a lot of info. about JWs and their history. There seem to be far too many faults to say that the org. is any better than other religions. (Now this is not all word for word but it is basically what I said)

She gave me this look like, "oh brother". All she replied with is this: "Well, you’re an adult and it is your choice.

Give me a call if you want to go to the DC with me.

I am not worried about her running to the Elders to rat me out. She is not that fanatical about her role as a JW.

Just thought I would share this.

Why The Natural Desire For Sex

i was thinking about this today and wondered why "god" created this overwhelming desire in humans?

if we were created in god's image does this mean god has desires like his spirit creatures mentioned before the flood did?.

it would seem that man with his inteligence would be able to decide if he wanted to have children and have sex just to procreate.

then why do some animals also mate w only one mate for life?

even some termites mate monogamously.

why is it that some animals, the minority were given this divine institution by god, but to other animals god gave poligamy, and temporary shack up for fertilisation purposes only?

hi there im new here so a brief biog to say hi.

ill be a bit vague cos not sure how safe with poss jw's seeing as friends and parents still jw's and im not d'sd or df'd just stopped going.probably being paranoid.wonder why?was brought up jw did 'bad things' in teens whilst pioneering felt sick with guilt then got doubts started hanging with worldlys got grassed up by my sis for doing drugs but manage to avoid ds/da and left fairly quietly.

i live in birmingham england have been my own man for over two years but after the initial great im free feeling i guess im a bit flat now.

in the spirit of minimus i thought i'd put a positive spin on things.

they say when you surrond yourself with the positive its easier to be positive and vice versa for negativity (no offense to min as i also fully believe that you have to deal with negativity too).... that being said....whats the nicest thing, compliment, gift etc that anyone has ever said or done to/for you?.
