Dear Bullygoat: Who y-all callin' an apostate! Them thar's fightin' words! No, but seriously I am not the one who claims to be Gods only channel to mankind. I'm not the one who inserts loyalty to me as proof of loyalty to God. I don't usurp Jesus as mediator between mankind and the True God. And I don't pass judgment on people and order everyone else to shun them and treat them as if God already killed them! I don't make prophesy and them amend it when if fails to come true. If I must be called an apostate, it is an apostate of the GoverningBodyGod enthroned in Brooklyn. Li'le ol' Maverick

this is going beyond a joke what do you think?
by nelly1 ini was talking to a witness who is still in and she said they gave a talk at the hall, about submissive wives and were told that if the husband wants to go somewhere for the holiday and the wife want to go somewhere else she will need to be respectful and do what the husband wants.
and she can go on her prefered choice of holiday the following year...... .
the husband is to make all major decisions such as where they will .

Who are they kidding? The wives run the show in most cases at the Hall. The more powerful the Elder the tougher the wife usually is. Again it is an example of misdirection. The GB has emasculated the brotherhood. Little or no facial hair, weak and soft voices, mild and whimpy men. They all talk tough about headship but most of the ones I dealt with were terrified of their wives! And if the women put the word out that a brother was abusive, he was toast! And single brothers a clueless about over half of what is going on in the Hall! Maverick

Dear Scully; Why does it actually have to be the persons birthday? I love it and will do it the next time I see the Friends at a Restaurant. As for running into the J-duds, I see them at Home Depot all the time. I grew a beard and long hair and as soon as I see them I light up as if to say, " Hey ! How are you! Great to see you!" and start to walk over to them. Most times they run into things trying to get away from me. Its a great show and makes my whole day! Maverick

Is everyone on this Web Board a Jehovah's Witness Basher?
by sandy ini grew up in the religion and was baptized at.............supposedly the most important day in our lives and i cannot remember how old i actually was, anyways...... i believe it was 13 or 14. i was never disfellowshipped.
i have a "worldly" boyfriend whom i love dearly, and i no longer attend the "meetings".
i do not disagree with the organization entirely; in fact i am not even sure if i disagree with it at all.

Dear Sandy: Most of the friends here do not hate the Witnesses. Many have family and acquaintances that are active Witness. I personally feel a lot of concern for the enslaved ones. And yes I do mean enslaved. The Governing Body in Brooklyn and their minions have enslaved the brotherhood and work very hard to keep them that way. It is these ones who are the targets of almost all the negative comments you will see here. There are many, many "Sauls" out there in the WatchTower world that hopefully someday will have their eyes opened and become"Pauls"! Yours in finding the "Truth" Maverick

Got this letter
by Yesterdays Child inthroughout the years after having come to know through your marriage to my daughter you have been a very kind and thoughtful person, sometimes more than my own son.
i don't think that a mother-in-law could want a finer person for a son than you.
however, it is very unfortunate that i will have to change the way that i will relate to you now and in the future.

Ask your Mother-in-law how she can reconcile her attiude with Jesus parable of the Prodigal Son? If they were J-duds the father could have been shunned for having a meal with his son. Or the Good Samaritan. These people were considered "apostates" by the Jews. Jesus used them to teach the unloving, self-righteous, judgmental Jews who their neighbors really were. The GB tell the membership God will do the judging but then they turn around and act as if the judgement was in fact already made. Jesus said you would know his people by the love they had. He was accused, by the Pharisee, of committing apostasy by eating with "sinners" and tax collectors and women of ill repute. I guess Jesus would be unwelcome in the company of these faithful worshipers of the GoverningBodyGod! Yours, Maverick

Watch Tower Finances
by link inwould anyone like to comment on the following observations?.
the very large majority of the jws that i come into contact with on a regular basis are not wealthy and many have very low incomes, yet they still make substantial contributions to the wbts every month.
because they are firmly lead to believe that it is an organisation that is struggling for its financial survival.. following a recent visit from the c.o.

Just off the cuff with about one million J-duds in America at one billion dollars comes to about one thousand dollars in assets per J-dud. I am keeping this very simple. And remember, the local J-duds pay their own Halls expenses. Even thought the Society owns all the Halls and the land they sit on and can remove anyone they wish from membership. The membership donate a lot of time and personal resources maintaining these Halls that does not show up on any balance sheet. In any legit secular corporation labour costs are a major expense. These guys (GB) can hide behind being a Religious Org. I doubt there is any way you could find out all the places they are getting and hiding money and assets. What a shell game! Maverick

Time To Make The JC's Accountable?
by Englishman inreading jst2laws account of his and joy's execrable treatment by his one-time friends, has really brought it home to me that the disfellowshippers need their knuckles rapped - and hard, too.. when someone becomes disillusioned with their religion, they are in a very vulnerable and emotional state for quite a while.
for that same religion then to, not only cast them out, but insist that their friends and families should do the same, is criminal to say the least.. yet, what accountability do these disfellowshippers have to face?
i'll tell you - absolutely none!

I like it! I like being a radical reactionary and all around general pain in the A**. As for myself I will start working on a basic letter about the unloving, unchristian and therefore apostate nature of shunning and gossiping that is rampant in the WatchTower world. How do we fine out where to send them? Maverick

Any good ideas for a DA letter?
by dawn27 ini was enjoying my anonymity after my move until a family member gave a local sister my new address and told her about my "inactive" standing.
a sister stopped by to see me the first time, but now she brought an elder by.
my husband sent them away and told them how he felt (he's not a j.w.

All the friends here have made good points. The nice thing about a computer is that you can create a file and open your heart and write. Then go back each day and edit for clarity and punctuation. In my mind a good letter is one that clearly and accurately states what you think and gives the reader insight into your feelings. Maybe your letter will plant a seed in that one which will sprout in the future. When I write a piece for submission of publication it goes through about ten drafts, a proof reader, and a copy editor first. And I need it! When you finally take whatever action you decide and put it in the mail or hand deliver it, you can not take it back. But, what may surprise you is the feeling of freedom that will wash over you. I wish you the best, Maverick

Dear Dawn27: I am not sure how successful this will be as there is some debate,(and quite legitimate differing viewpoints) on this, but I offer the baptism nullification letter I wrote and was posted by Blackguard. If you are so inclined look it over and maybe there will be some useful points in there. I tried it myself and so far there has been minimal contact with the J-duds. But the CO is visiting my old Hall this week and there may be some announcement this comming week. I will let everyone know what happens. I did not just sent the letter to Brooklyn, I sent it in a mass mailout to everybody I knew and who knew I was involved with that bunch. I am not suggesting you do this but I offer it for consideration in view of their potential reaction. I hope it can help. Also Dedalus has a good DA letter you should look at. In the end, and as was brought out by Dedalus, you need to do want will give you closure. Yours, Maverick

Contact from the witnesses since leaving & I am angry !
by mattnoel ini have been looking through the site and noticed that a lot of you have had trouble with the witnesses since leaving.
i know when i was on the way out they wanted to meet up with me about half a dozen times, and i had various phone calls to try and stop me but since then i have not heard any more from them.
although i must admit there are still a couple who keep in touch with me via e mail and they let me know what is going on in the cong.

Dear mattnoel: That's a good idea just don't burn your fingers,OK. I think the next time a J-dud offers me a mag I'll gladly take it, open in up to the middle, and blow my nose into it and then close it and hand in back while saying,"Boy I needed that, thanks a lot!" As for being talked about at the Hall gossip is the name of the game, so I am happy I can bring such pleasure to the crew! I wrote that Baptism Nullification letter and whenever I have a J-dud encounter I make it a point to send them a copy of the letter the next business day. I am sure they give it to the Pharisees and that agrgravates them no end. See, life CAN have some simple pleasures, so enjoy it ! Yours, Maverick
