I like free style and hip-hop. There is an upscale place called Baywalk and I go there every week. I've asked four women at a time to dance, hell, I'll dance with them all...call me Mr Sandwich! I don't go to try to pick up anyone, just dance and have some fun! But weddings are the best, people really let their hair down! Mav

Do you love to dance?
by Maverick ini love weddings cause, "love is in the air", and you can ask any woman to dance and not get shut down.
when i went to vegas and we hit all the night clubs you could see all the couples sitting there around the dance floor, the women bobbing up and down off their seats and their guys sunk down with their butts glued to the chair.
even though i am not the best dancer, being one of those men willing to "shake that thing" i had a great time.

While I was a J-dub my wife and I did ball-room dancing, the Brothers used to talk to me about it. They did not like it. I told them I'd think about what they were telling me. I'm still thinking!
My questions, Do you want to dance? What kind of music and how often to you shake it up? Maverick

In Search of... Good Parenting Tips
by MerryMagdalene incalling all parents who raised children according to borg guidelines or anyone who was raised that way him- or her-self and, thus, is aware of the damage often thereby done.... i was raised as a 4th generation jw, drew away at least a decade ago, and am now the mother of a wonderful 3 year old girl.
i am looking for some words of wisdom to keep in mind as i do my best to raise her in a sane and loving manner.. any ideas on positive things to keep in mind?
and what about negative things to watch out for (you know, those nasty things we don't even realize are still part of our psyche until they jump out and scream "boo!")?.

I have a 19 year old....Kill them BEFORE they become teenagers!
NO I'm just kidding! Learn who they are. Stop talking to that image you have had in your head since you knew you were going to be a parent. Learn what your children really like and feel and think, and try not to invalidate those preferences. Sponsor each child to go for his/her dreams and explore all their gifts and passions and let them grow at their own pace. And no matter what, love them unconditionally! Maverick

Thank you Blondie!
The WTS is just hitting those emotional trigger points to reinforce their implanted programming. You slap someone and tell them you love them, do that enough times and when they are slapped they will tell themselves, "I am loved!" After the initial indoctrination, (Bible Study and love bombing) the WTS does this reinforcement, (WatchTower study and other boring meetings) to keep the borg implants links to the hive-mind! Sad but that's the way they like it! Mav

Ladies, don't you hate it when guys over analyze everything?
by Maverick ina by-product of being a genuis-type guy is the tendancy to read too much into every action, word or event in a relationship.
i have killed more than one relationship this way.
with the gf's giving me comments such as, "why can't i have a normal boyfriend?

Thank you to the feedback! I am impressed with the depth of the responses.
SP I do not believe this is gender specific.
I was talking to my sorta, on again, but mostly off again GF, and everything I said was wrong. according to her. I tend to believe that if something is important the person will do their best to do it. If something is not important then they will not care if they do it or not. Forget the words, follow their feet! This attitude helped me to walk away from the JW's. Those people walk with their heads turn around backwards! But this is not the first time I have heard this from women I was involved with. This girl has told me time and again that I am clueless when it comes to figuring people out, and I have been so very wrong so very many times, I do doubt my own judgement. This is in such conflict with my general nature to be trusting, adventurous and go for it!
So, am I, as a male, in the minority when it comes to thinking too much and reading too much into things? It has always served me well in business. Maverick

With the GF's giving me comments such as, "Why can't I have a normal boyfriend?" My life often ends up like some bizarre Woody Allen movie! Do they sell "stupid pills" I can take so I don't think so damn much and just let things go?
I guess I have been thinking about this,(too much?) because yesterday was the 6th anniversary of the dissolution of my 15 year marrage. In ten minutes a judge erased 15 years of my life and half of everything I ever owned!
So now my question; Ladies, has this been a problem for you, your guy reading way too much into way too little? ...or am I over-thinking again? Maverick

Are "New Age" women more sexually open?
by logansrun ini tend to think so.
perhaps it's the kama sutra thing, but it seems that most women who are into astrology, clairvoyance, eastern religions, yoga and the like are more open sexually.
also, it seems that most women either are involved in christianity or the new age.

Take a cold shower, Runner! I think women have always been animals in the bedroom, they just are more willing to admit it and talk about it now! Maverick

Do you talk baby talk to your pets?
by Maverick ini had this big macho guy who used to work for me and when i would stop by his trailer, (not kidding) to pick him up for work, (dui and again, not kidding) on his way out the door he would give his redhead, stripper girl friend, (see above) a peck on the cheek and walk over to his pit-bull, ( ) and just lavish all manner of love and affection on that big, ugly, and very stupid dog!
i am not making this up!
i would think, "what a looser!".

Y-all talking about the differences between dogs and cats reminded me of a joke, (actually almost everything reminds me of a joke, but I digress). The dog looks at you and thinks, " You feed me and take care of me YOU must be God!" The cat looks at you and thinks, "You feed me and take care of me, I must be God!"
Maverick, High priest to his cats!

Witnesses do gamble
by JH inwe all know that witnesses say that they don't gamble, but do they?
i don't mean gambling with lotteries, i mean gambling with life.. many witnesses attend meetings and follow the jw way of life, not because they like it, but because they are afraid of dying at armageddon, so they gamble with their current life, or take a chance, and follow the group, just incase they would win eternal life with the witnesses.
some give away nice life oportunities, marriage, good jobs etc, and gamble all that away, for possibly a better prize..

Good point. The WTS sells God Insurance, and the dumb JW's pay the premiums and the WTS will let God pay the claims! The perfect scam! Maverick
