I do not delight in the death of anyone. It is sad to think that this person was living in a self made fantasy. He not only lived in this make believe world but insisted that everyone else buy into that world as well. What a waste! The fact that he was reported to be a sweet, kind, gentle man makes his crimes against humanity even more insidious. He has received his reward in full! Maverick

I do know that only baptized members in good standing are to get KM's from their Book Study conductors.Once these are distributed to the RF I don't see why the KM's cannot be commented on. The Society cannot control where the KM's go once they are dispersed. Maybe by not being specific about the issue, example( a recent KM states) and paraphrasing the articles main points would be enough to get around the strong arm legal wolf ticket the Society is trying to sell. My take on the circuit assembly.
by integ inlast week i attended the circuit assembly in wisconsin.
a couple of things to note: there was'nt much mention of the" faithful slave" in the talks.
this surprised me.

This comment of, " the worst person in the truth is better that the best person in the world." typifies the core attitude of the J-dud masters. An attitude that is absorbed by the RF. These people 'see' every non-witness as dead, God just hasn't killed them yet! So they have no moral issue with using less that honest business dealings, and lying to or dealing harshly with non-members. I hated doing business with witness customers! And most witness service providers I knew felt the same way. The justiyfing Biblical example was the Jews stripping the Egyptians (Exodus 12:36).
The problem with this self-righteous high-handedness is that a thief at heart is a thief in practice. So these superfine witnesses start to rip off each other. So you end up with two groups in the Orginization, predator and prey. And the higher up the food chain the greater the ability to pillage! Maverick

Remembering the Truth

when i was inactive i used to look at ex-jws with placard boards outside assemblies or conventions, i knew these people existed even if they were a bit "wacky".
i always used to wonder why these people did this, and to be honest i didn't like them, they looked creepy stood there with their flip charts outside a stadium.

You have a different paradigm. Think of a time when you 'thought' you had all the facts about a matter and then one added bit of information totally changed your whole outlook. In the case of being a J-dud a picture was painted in your mind and conditions where set in place to freeze that image. Circular reasoning was used to net your thinking into a cycle of left turns. You always ended up back where you started. The fact that you made it to this point is to your credit. It usually takes some event or other outside action to knock a person loose. Then a system of reintegration is in place to 'bring the erring one back'. If you slip past that you are home free. Then they cast you off the cut off any interaction so you can't infect anyone else and try to render you dysfunctional. Rule or ruin, sound familiar? Maverick

It appears to me this, "read between the lines" is a safety valve this witness uses to deal with the inconsistencies within the Society. Whenever there is some unreasonable or unloving edict from J-dud Central he just 'reads between the lines' and let's it slide. I wonder how many witnesses have similar psychological escape mechanisms to 'release' them from the anomalous and incongruent actions of their 'faith'? Maverick

we even had rules for what to do when the rules we knew did not apply to new situations.
this constant diet of rules upon rules created our mental map that for many is still deeply ingrained below conscious awareness and still operating even though we are no longer jws.

Very interesting points! I wonder if some on this might be a little esoteric for the average person? One of my problems as a J-dud was the fact that I never supported the partyline about education. I always took courses and went to seminars, met Tony Robbins and Bill Cantrel(sp). I"ve been Coveyized and done the Napolean Hill courses. Gone through a Dale Carnige program and taken profiling classes. The witness masters looked down on all of that. By comparison the Elder and Servant school were, 'see stop run classes'! In Mensa we have RG's were there are lectures from the JPL or reps from the Huble Space Program or Mars Explorer. I agree with your reasoning. I just think few people know what Neuro Linguistic Programming is. Hopefully I am wrong, Maverick

Baptism............and the war and stuff.

In Ray Franz Crisis of Conscience pages 288, 289, he talks about the 144,000. There are other reference as well. Check the CoC index under O. It maybe better once you state your position to switch tacks to Jesus role with mankind. The Governing Body teach that the Bible and the Ransom benefit the 'anointed' and the other sheep only by association with the 'anointed'. So is it right to pray to God through Jesus?
