How Come Brooklyn Never Saw This One Coming?

books and magazines all full of dire warnings..stay away from the world..don't have sex outside of marriage..armageddon is just around the corner..avoid worldly associations..look out for this, look out for that.

the list goes on and on and on.. yet the wtbts predictors of doom and gloom department never, ever, in their worst nightmares, ever saw what it was that would prove to be their nemesis.. that ex-witnesses, the majority of them disfellowshipped and, therefore, supposedly gagged and without a voice, would find a way to communicate with one another via the internet.. i wonder if the fact that they brought this upon themselves is clear to them?

the irony is astonishing.

E-man I think the fuse in their crystal ball is on the fritz! Before the 'cast-offs' could communicate they were rather disfunctional. Collectively, through the net, we help heal each other by validating each others feeling that something was 'wrong' with God's people. We will increase in number faster and faster. We tend to be the sharper more intellectual types of people. More genuine, loyal, and demonstrative than the stay-J-duds. Many of us even tried to make it work for many years. And now that we realize it was all a lie we go the other way with just as much energy as when we were under submission. The J-dud masters are self delusional, they can not allow themselves to 'see' the wave coming at them. I hope we can drowned them in their own BS! Maverick

They Finally Did It

my parents have finally disowned me.. my dad called yesturday and told me to get the "dogs of my mothers back" about my upcoming wedding.. i told him that i havent put anyone on mum's back and if they are saying it, its because they want to and don't agree with what he and mum are doing.

i said that mum can speak for herself and he said that she and will and the next time you speak to your mother she will tell you that we dont want to ever speak to or see you again...".

at this point in the conversation i hung up the phone in his ear.

My heart goes out to you, it takes some serious brainwashing to be willing to treat you own child like that. I have an eighteen year old daughter...I can't imagine going along with the GB on this. May you have peace. Maverick

i have a quick question.

it is my belief that it is illegal to record a conversation without the other party knowing.

is it illegal to have someone else on the line listening without that information being disclosed to you before the conversation takes place?.

Blondie and hillary-step make good points. I had a thread some time back about the Elders here in Florida that routinely record all calls to their homes by publishers and eavesdrop on calls at the Hall. I encourage all who read this that whenever they converse over the phone to an Elder or Servant the first thing they should state is that they do not give permission for that call to be recorded or have a third party listen in on. At that point in most cases the Elder will want to question why you state this. You need not answer, just state does he understand? He will try to end the call by asking to meet you face to face. This is not necessary and continue your phone call. If he gets squirrely ask if the call is being monitored? After that you will know how you stand with this person.

The Elders have no moral dilemma with violating Ceasar's laws about this. They will use ANY means to get to the heart of your spiritual stand. It is totally admissible in their Star Chamber meetings. Maverick

on blondies post about watchtower comments you will not hear 03/30/03, a point was brought up about the elder that counts who partake not counting certain ones.

if i understand that right, those with the 'eartly' hope decide who has the 'heavenly' hope.

the society's reasoning is that these partaker might be confused.

I wonder if it is the fact that the number of partakers is not dropping. This all smackes of a lack of integrity of the Societys part. They should count all partakers and let God sort it out. How can any man tell if a person is 'anointed'? Is the whole Memorial performance rigged, everyone is told in advance what to do and who to count and what kind of props to use? Where are Lucas and Spielberg? Maverick

well, i haven't talk to my father since i got df'd 2 years ago and i haven't spoken to my mother in 8 months.

I cannot imagine kissing off my baby girl, (now 18). Your parents comment that , "They had no choice." sounds a lot like the excuse the German Soldiers made after WWII when asked about all the war atrocities they perpetrated on their victims, "We had no choice, we were following orders." This just shifts the blame to 'someone else'. The J-duds come by this honestly, the Governing Body does the same thing whenever they screw-up. It's the RF's fault or worse implying it is Gods doing and He will make it clear in His good time. The J-duds are taught to be 'little children' and not think for themelves. Why do you still believe?

something like once you find out the truth about the 'truth' its impossible to stop there and not question everything as far as religion and the existance of god.

i'm sure most of us that were raised in the watchterror org and have found out that we were decieved our whole lives have examined this subject at some point.

I am still sorting it all out. I know in my heart the True God is a loving, artistic, grand being. For years I had trouble with the petty, shallow, spiteful, legalistic god the WatchTower hides behind. I am so turned off by their BS that when I find I do agree with the J-duds on any point, that whole subject feels tainted. They do a great job of 'poisoning the well'. I can see why many turn away from anything religious. Maverick

Maybe they weren't sure he was really dead. He might have been just testing the Brothers. Or It might have taken that long to clean up his room! Who knows what he had stashed under his bed? Maverick

Question on Marriage

i was married for 15 years to a j-dud, she ran off, got df'd, boyfriend went to jail, she was reinstated, poisoned the j-duds against me and here i am.

i won't do that again!

cost me an early retirement and years of grief with my daughter, now 18. anyone have a thought about the institute of marriage j-dud style.
