i thank everyone for their offers of private discussions, and i would certainly be grateful to have people to talk to ... the thing is, i haven't yet worked out how to do this!.

Baptism in the name of WHO???
by LovesDubs ini was reading craigsa's post from his mother to his wife regarding how jws are baptized....and they arent baptized in the name of the father son and holy ghost as she so pointedly said twice.
all you jws out there who browse this forum...listen up!!
here are the questions you are asked when you are baptized and the changes to them over the years....do you see fs and hg mentioned anywhere here???.

Integ, you have a good point. If they can drive a wedge between their subject and his family, he will run to their happy little group and find comfort. Alienation is a prime force when used correctly. They need to break down the strongest bonds first to get inside and control the person. And family gatherings are the first step! Along with Rocketman and jgnat I was thinking how the WatchTower is primarily a publishing company. The Friends are called 'publishers' and the time slips have places for placements of books, mags, and brochures things not mentioned in the Bible. But what of Christian works mentioned in the Bible? Such as helping widows and fatherless boys, people in dire need and the down-hearted? Screw the book placements, go help someone! Maverick

Thank you Blondie, Gopher has it dead on, more misdirection from J-dud Central. They warm you up with talk of comfort then justify and qualify just what counts as 'true comfort'! They take credit for things that are done in spite of them, as in disaster relief. I live in Florida and after Hurricane Andrew the friends did everything. The Society had to slow them down and take over the program. Left to their own the friends would have done MORE! We had a special Friday night meeting at the Plant City Assembly Hall to outline what would and would not be done down in South Florida. Otherwise, there would have been NO field service, and low meeting attendance that coming week because everyone wanted to go and help.
As to comfort, the FDS also pass off on to God any pain NOW being felt as 'Wait on Jehovah'! Who get 'credit' for the pain you now feel and the lack of relief...God! Cowards! What an evil, self-serving bunch of fakes! Maverick

Also little stories and tall tales.I travel a lot and meet all kinds of people and hear all manner of neat stuff, which I, (steal) add to my store of silly and cute stories. Nothing,(well almost nothing) pleases me more than to start the day off with a good laugh. That's why I come here in the AM before I go off to slay my Dragons,(work).
