Very good question! It does seem that artistic and intellectual types are looked down upon. I wonder if them that spread all the BS worry about the people who look too close or think too much about what is being said and done?
If history is any example it is a good idea for a countries citizenry to be concerned when artists and intellectuals are targeted, mass oppression can not be too far behind.

just wondering how many others there are like me who are married to a witness who is either actively going or fading away?
i have found that even though my husband is fading away - he still has a lot of those witness thoughts.. it's definately better that he is away from them and not getting their "spiritual food (vomit)".
but i still have worries when his mother calls and invites us to the memorial or tries to give us the latest book.. i feel my blood pressure just about go through the roof.. i'm glad there are places like this board to talk with people and get support from real " friends".
I'm no longer married but my GF is a JW. She goes to the meetings once in a while, mostly when her grown son or daughter are around her. We leave the subject alone for the most part. She asked me not to cause trouble for the local idiot JW's and as long as they turn a blind eye to us as a couple I will not bother them. I spead a rumor that we are secretly married and as much as those morons suck up gossip as gospel I think they felt it best to just leave the whole situation be.
well this is the deal.. i had met this girl through this guy a while back and we started talkin and we eventually hooked up.. we had been goin out for almost 3 months till tonight..
The JW's are all about extortion. They will squeeze you into their mold, and try to control you and your GF will their narrow, petty, and elitist view of their place in the world. In time they will gain power over every aspect of your life and the only way to cope and indeed succeed as a witless is to live a double life in which you play the Good Little Witless when your with them and then secretly do whatever you want when your away from them. If you want to live the life of a hypocrite and phony...go for it!

Cubans are overrated! Since they are often smuggled in to the US they are not kept under controlled conditions and often have dried out which makes them harsh and burn poorly. The Dominican Republic produce very fine cigars and have far outpaced the Cubans of old. The best "Cuban" cigars are made right here in Tampa by the old timers kicked out of Cuba by that bum Castro!

i've decided in the last month or so that i would really like to treat myself to a small tattoo.
i'm going the conservative route and plan on getting it on my lower back - so it can be seen when i want it to be, but also easily hidden when necessary .

i remember how newly interested ones were strongly encouraged to profess to their churches leaders and others that they no longer are members, to point of having their names removed from memberships.
also the warnings that we may receive heckling from friends and relatives if we continued to study, and how we should come to expect that as being normal.
This was a good observation. We just finished up the Holiday season and that is a prime time for the WTS to alienate recruits from their families. The WTS need to get people away from their families in order to gain full control over them. Everthing about the WTS is about control, their control of you...for God of course! Theirs is a petty, selfish and hateful god!

Not to fight the cosmos anymore! I except that woman are the superior half of the species and will not work in conflict with that fact anymore. I except that I love womens bodies and worship at the alter of the tight and beautiful behinds of said creatures. I resolve not to be Mr. Stupidhead to the woman that I love and as far as it is up to me to make her life better and not more complicated. I resolve that even though I love sex I will keep it to the ONE lady...this has been a big problem in 2004! I except that I am just a little boy but will strive to act more mature when appropiate, and that will be determined by the superior half of the species cause I am clueless!....But I'm OK with that!
