Has Anyone Ever Met Any Celebrities?
by imallgrowedup inthis is a spin-off of another thread where my *mild and chaste* friend, mouthy, admitted to wanting to meet her dream man, tom jones, and that she would even go so far as to throw her bloomers at him, if that is what it would take to get his attention!
well, the mental picture this painted was far too much for me to bear, so i encouraged her to save her red polka-dotted "unmentionables", not only because she might need them in the future, but because i didn't think she'd have to go that far to get his attention.
and i said that - because of a personal experience with him.

Devil's Playground
by catchthis ini watched a documentary the other day entitled, devil's playground.
it centered around a few amish youths when they reached the age of 16. once all amish youths reach this age of maturity, according to their church doctrine, they are let loose for an indefinite period of time to experience the world.
this time period, called rumspringa, can last from just a few months to several years.

i have family that are jw's and in my late teens i began bible studies.
i came close to baptism but was too scared about what i thought i would be giving up if i took that path.

You made the right choice. If the world is truly getting worse, (and I don't think it is in all ways...) then is it better to be honest and say, "I don't have all the answers." Or is it better to have a 'Pie in the sky' idea like the 'New System' and not work on changing anything now? Help people now, don't wait for the almighty Destructo god to make everything all better. Nightmares
by Vivamus inoh sweet lord, save me from this insanity.. *still shaking*.
i get so bloody sick of this frigging nightmares.. my god.. i went to bed about 1.5 hours ago, and about five minutes ago i wrestled myself back to being awake, wanting to escape yet an other horror filled with demons and dead people who want to do me harm.
om something similar stupid.. well at least my ordeal didn't last for more than one hour or so .... .

I was at Deaths Door today.
by orangefatcat inyes for some reason this morning on my way home from the sleep clinic, did i realize that with in an hour we were going to be at deaths door.
after arriving home this morning at 6:30 i was greeted by my husband ready to go out to the resturant for breakfast.
i needed first to bathe and wash my hair of the sticky glue they use at the clinic to hold the electrodes in place.

In third grade this great big kid said he was going to beat me up..so I prayed to the Lord, and he told me to go the creek and gather 5 smooth stones.. Just kidding, never had a problem with this, but I'm not a really small guy either.. Huxley
