  hello all, i know st.patrick's day is about over.. i was just curious how many of you observed the holiday.

  i live in the usa in the south west.

  where i live we have a large population of native americans and hispanics.. so st.patrick's day is low key.. we wear green and talk about drinking green beer.. i started to wonder what a real celebration would entail.. i dressed as a lepercaun for story time..

  I read the legend was he drove all the snakes out of Ireland. There was something about sins?

  Avoid Going back to the JW's - Educate Yourself about Mind Control

  i've talked with some good friends on the board about this before and we seem to be in agreement : one reason ( among many ) that some disfellowshipped jw's go back and return to the wt organization is because they are full of uneeded guilt or uneeded fear because they haven't educated themselves about how the wt society uses mind control tactics to deceive them into thinking they have " nowhere else to go " .

  i understand that some dfed ones may go back to the organization for family and friends- however- it's an exrecise in futility because once you learn the truth about the truth you cannot undo what you heard.

  so some may just go back and live a fake jw life to appease family- but just think of how that can damage a person's emotional and mental health playing the fake jw game the rest of their lives !

  Clarity: thank you for expressing my feelings so

  well.

  I also felt it was me. I always believed it was "The Truth".

  Truthfully I was just expecting to be destroyed at ARMAGEDDON. I never felt worthy but I would keep on trying.

  I never considered that it was't me, it was them.

  in today's 'astronomy picture of the day' are clearly shown rotating rings that move at 90 degrees and through each other.

  it is celestial, mysterious, entirely possible, and physical.

  just thought i would let you know there appears to still be no change when it comes to assisting the police here in the uk.

  i am in the process of pressing charges against my abuser who was and is again a jw.

  during my interviews with the police i did not mention jws as it was not relevant to the case, however during one if his interviews he stated that he had been 'punished' by the jws by being disfellowshipped, and now he was a jw again he had 'paid his dues'!.

  I admire your courage. I know it is not easy. I will never understand the need JWs have to protect pedophiles. Stay strong and know you are doing a good thing by speaking up.

  Children need protected. Silence is permission.

  yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.

  we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.

  they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

  Kate I really like you and mostly agree with you but Zeb had it coming. Cofty was very judicious in his remarks. He explained why he called Zeb a dullard. I looked it up in the thesaurus and trust me that was the least offensive discription.

  Active JW's, can you defend "THE TRUTH?"

  as of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.

  when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.

  this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

  DOT: Take your time. You had a lot of information thrown at you.

  Remember to take everything with a grain of salt.

  Don't let anyone tell you what you should believe. That is your choice . This site and others are just tools we can use.

  It's up to each of us to decide how to use it.

  Please make sure you are careful about talking about your concerns. JWs have a fine tuned apostatedar.

  Read some of the threads you find interesting, do some research and use your critical thinking. Listen to Punk and don't forget to breathe.
