Not going to happen. GB will invoke Revelation chapter 2:
“‘Nevertheless, I do hold this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezʹe·bel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and misleads my slaves to commit sexual immorality"
i just listened to most of geoffrey jackson's royal commission testimony and i have to say i really enjoyed the multiple times he had to state he would get back to them and would research their questions.. the royal commission was asking if policy could be changed to have women serve on a committee to decide the case and then that bodies decision be brought to the elders to decide whether to show mercy or to disfellowship and individual.
three times the judge had to ask mr. jackson to answer his question.. it was amazing how jackson could not find a scripture to show his honor that women were prohibited to serve as elders.
he could only support that men are appointed as elders.. hmm... i've never been a member of the governing body with all their years of so called spiritual training, but even i remember deborah the prophetess, when the judge asked jackson if women could serve as a judge.. i was so hoping that the judge or mr. stewart would refer to deborah.

okay, i know the royal commission hasn't started yet.
but i'm confident enough that he will be telling some whoppers.
so i thought i'd be the first to get a thread started for something that will begin... very soon now!.
"He knows his JW double talk well!" -Jedi mind trick
The force is strong with this one.

i was thinking that maybe the monthly broadcasts are a occasion for some jw's to wake up.
before those broadcasts they probably imagined that the gobgoverning y members are some very special peopleand that you see in their behavior and words that they are "chosen".
but now all jw's can see them for who they really are: average men, some full of themselves, some ridiculous, some just normal men with nothing special.
My thought is, that the GB selects a theme for the monthly broadcast and connects it with "send monetary contributions, spend more time in the ministry".
Theme-mercy
Application-" send monetary contributions, spend more time in the ministry".
Theme-persecution
Application-" send monetary contributions, spend more time in the ministry".
according to the august jw broadcast the new britian branch is scheduled to open by december 31, 2019 and is currently the 2nd largest construction project (assuming warwick is the largest).
are the current facilities that spread out that a more centalized location the main reason for acquiring and developing an 85 acre site?
also, with the end looming on the horizon, what message does that send regarding making long-term plans?

Comments, please from those who live in the UK or are familiar with London Bethel. The property in question is in Chelmsford. What kind of area is this? Judging from the broadcast it seems very barren, with few trees (is this due to nuclear or chemical waste deposits?)
i usually open posts such as this one with disclaimer for the atheists/agnostics out there.
i respect your position and what i tried to do in posts like this one is discuss the bible, wether you believe the stories or not.. i believe it is well known that in jw doctrine it is thought that no one has ever seen god.
this teaching is also supplemented by the accounts of moises, where jehovah told him that no one can see him and yet live to tell the tale.. i, however, was always puzzled by some of the grammar in the bible where it seems to imply that god appeared to people.
so i got coerced into watching this crap last night.
a few observations:.
1) it personified the witness mantra that doing more for the org = happiness, doing not enough = misery.

Morph: "but they almost glorified a minimum wage job."
Come on, Starbucks actually has a starting wage higher than minimum wage and offer health benefits. You can't blame spiritually minded witnesses for going for these acceptible entry-level jobs, especially when they allow time off for meetings and conventions.
All in all, this video is a showcase for the warped view of reality that WT promotes. BTW, I think the witness "bad girl" is kinda hot.
mr. jackson, we have heard testimony from mr spinks and mr. obrien that women will never have leadership positions in the congregation.
as i understand it mr. jackson, you interpret revelation 7 to mean that only 144,000 will go to heaven and that these 144,000 will rule the earth.
i also understand that your organization teaches that women are part of this "remnant" of 144,000. can you explain why jesus christ is willing to put women in leadership over the entire earth but you are not willing to permit them to have anything to do with helping victims of pedophiles in your congregation?
