Lets all imitate the Governing Body's method of telling "the TRUTH"!

so i was thinking...we all know how the gb / org changes its teachings...some dramatically so.

then it uses the "light got brighter" excuse, or makes the changes seem like it was the average followers fault!?.

i wonder what would happen if anyone just imitated their methods?....:.

Priceless....when Richard Pryor was alive, when he did his show, he was talking about getting caught in bed by his with another woman....so he told his wife...this is soooo priceless..."ARE YOU GONNA BELIEVE ME OR YOUR LYING EYES"....so one can say that & replace, "Are you gonna believe me or your lying ears"...

Man cannot tell the truth...we were supposedly born into sin, so it's in our DNA to tell a lie from time to time...in the case of the GB's it's not really not telling the truth it's that they were mislead by the Holy Spirit, which the Holy Spirit was mislead by Jesus & Jesus was mislead by his Father, Jehovah...so you see the chain of command...Now what you could say to the GB's is that...Oh, I see, God saw a brighter light & then in turn told you...but then that dispells that God never changes...The best thing to do is let these GB's spin out of control, let them keep doing what they are doing....eventually they'll shoot themselves in the foot....One of the friends mentioned to me that while reading the daily text..they read & and the scriptures & they didn't have anything to do with the text...folks see, but don't see....most are emotionally tied to the org.

Exactly....they claim to be clean...that's why they DF. So you are so right, if they didn't claim to be God's organinzation & the only ones with the truth, then I don't think folks would point fingers at them. But they love persecution, if they don't get it, they drum it up. I'm glad I researched them before I went in the water & found out they were not perfect or clean, so I thought, wow, this is the place for me....Folks kill & say, it's either the devil told them to do it or God...all in the name if religion...Great points AB...

Honestly ....NO....why should I be jealous of folks reaching out for more hours, that may be difficult to obtain or to add more pressure to themselves. They should be jealous of those who don't have that pressure. I have heard many of the pioneers say month after month, they are so behind in their hours, even the auxilary pioneers, find it hard to do 30 hours let alone 70 hours....it's like having a job. I'm ok just being a baptized publisher...if one month I'm able to do more then so be it. No one is going to bother you if your hours go up, but they will talk to you if they go down...so why pressure yourself...When the JW. org. campaign took off, almost half the congregation became auxilary pioneers...me, I didn't...I was happy & clapped for those who did....if I was jealous or felt guilty then I would have turned in my slip too. Some have different reasons for reaching out. Some even reach out as a substitute for not being loving to the friends...it's easier to be a pioneer, MS, elder, etc, then to love your brother....I'm like the widow, I do what I can...balance...so again, no jealousy here...just happy for those who do reach out & wish them well & hope they are not doing under pressure or guilt..

So true, the problem is far deeper than being a JW. I was raised a certain way...as balanced as possible. One of the sisters said to me...that I'm odd, most of the friends had some odd backgrounds...but as you say that can be any place...I think what this thread is trying to get at is that the society makes one afraid of shunning so much, that they may kill..(which is extreme, & they also are forced to lie for field service #'s because they may not be doing enough, that's not the same as murder but it still comes under "Pressure). That's the point...how many in the society feel that way? That's the question, how many bad choices have been made because of the fear of being shunned. As you say, that can happen in or out of the org. How many stay in & swallow all the doctrine even if it's not true, just so they won't be shunned. I could go on...I know a few friends that see TTATT, but don't want to say anything, because of how they will be looked at. You can go to any place of worship and not agree, even say something, or not say something but they allow you the right to point out another way to see the scripture....So all that to say, this may open the flood gates to others who may be mental yet, feel the same pressures.

My point is that this should be made public for others in the org. to see. I think I read on this site...shunning is like, emotional blackmail. No one should have to be afraid of a place of worship, that's where all go to feel safe. But you are correct as well. We all should be allowed to worship where we please but not under duress (spelling.):))). Many young folks have children & dispose of them...why because their parent(s) instilled fear in them...instead of re-inforcing that even though they may make make mistakes...THEY ARE LOVED...many feel if they make a mistake, their love ones won't love them anymore so they are forced to do what they think is best....we can tear down our children if need be, but also build them up with love. To let them know, no matter what they can come to you. Don't you think that the society should be the same way, it's ok to discipline but with Love, not with fear.

So my question why isn't this a headline for all to see...why is it only contained for discussion on this site..now there is JW TV, & this didn't make it. The friends will hear this via grapevine, & then will not speak about it or just say, she was wrong in the first place to have a baby without a hubby. The statement that should get everyone's attention is that she feared being shunned....wasn't she DF'd already, don't they DF those who have children without husbands. Shunning is dangerous to the extent of murder...that's heavy...how did she know to shift the blame, simple, she had an example from the bible where Adam shift the blame to God & Eve for him eating of the true....

Again, don't know why this didn't make the major papers...NYC...everyone all over the world reads NYC newspapers...Headlines should read...rather doesn't even have to be on the front, just in the major papers....it should read....JW SISTER KILLS CHILD BECAUSE SHE WAS AFRAID OF BEING SHUNNED BY THE CONGREGATION...maybe folks won't say nothing but it will plant a seed & many others may just come out, just like in child abuses in the ORG...

As long as these stories are in these other papers that most folks don't read, the friends will still be in the dark.

I tried to watch it but just said ....NO MORE....The society has come into the 21st century...kicking & screaming, but they came. So many think how will this TV JW affect the friends....BEAUTIFUL...if you've ever gone on a bible study & a sister or brother say to the student....I have something for you...The next thing you know...BAM, they whip out a bible for the student...ever see the elation on the JW face...priceless or when there is an assembly or convention & a new book is introduced...wet panties....As many have pointed out, they will be elated...because they are a part of God's org. They could introduce a new bookmark, & the friends will go bonkers. I'm a witness....I love my congregation, I've formed a bond with them. But as far as all these changes & additions, that's just what they are. The mind of the average witness is not quite developed as of yet, if we need a WT to tell us how to treat one another, that speaks volumes. If they do have a well developed mind, in time, it will digress. So all... don't spend too much time on whether this is a good thing or not...The society is going to do all it can to keep folks in...even imitating other religions...since most of them don't know what other religions preach or do, they don't even know they are imitating them...if the org. has changed, don't they think other religions have changed...

armageddon is happening oh my god!!!

my tv is crashing and flashing its about to quit, i should have known the great tribulation started a few months ago when the tv started acting up.

all the warning signs and yet i didn't notice....woe is me and my gnashing of my teeth, i may miss the game on tv tonight, its so much worse than revelations said it would be.

Really since 1879...that's a longtime to be in the predicting business...even Dionne Warwick (her pyschic stuff) knew when to quit. Do you think if the Society would stop predicting the end, folks might see them differently...BTW, I'm a new witness...not too new, but I know it's not up to man to know what & when, we can't even direct our own steps...Plus I don't think God is going to let man predict the end, man is too prideful..

You know what ? They may have said it, but I don't remember...too busy trying to see who was partaking of the crackers & wine...LOL...The word they used was....MIGHT...that's their defense... I wonder how many feel year after year & the end never comes....especially the older ones. I remember one of them saying they thought it was supposed to end in 1975, and he is still here...Wonder how they really feel inside & what they tell themselves....It's funny most religions know the end is coming, but like Jesus, they don't know, they just know it will come, but in the meantime, they are living their lives. Sometimes if you live for the future too much...you miss the present.

Just to clarify...did they predict Armageddon on 10/2014 or is it just the 100 years that Jesus is in charge. Because knowing the JW's they clarify to say, we didn't say that, we're talking about 100 years Jesus been in charge...but what's funny is they always try to come up with what Jesus has been doing for 100 yrs....so it makes me think..ummm, they are wondering too. Since they don't know, they are making stuff up....just like the question, why does God allow suffering..why ask the question if you're wondering yourself....They are just as much puzzled as the rest of the world. Plus all the stuff they claim is invisible, so who could argue....
