What I want to know is how long will it take to be common knowledge like the catholics. I live in NYC....that's where it needs to be exposed to, once it's in the NYC papers...the friends just can't deny it....I'm not saying some of these places are not important but, NYC is the HUB of the world...The Society will not be able to plug up every leak or hole...tick tick tick...

that is the conclusion you must accept if you are a jehovah's witness as my wife tries to explain to me that even if what they are teaching today contradicts what they were previously teaching, they had the truth then and they have the truth now.
the difference is, they (the witnesses and the governing body) simply believed that what they were teaching at the time was the truth but when they discovered new information they adjusted their thinking.
so since they formerly believed it to be the truth, they were in the truth.. an example she gave involved people who once believed the earth was flat.

Did anyone ever see the brighter light before the Society. How many have read the scriptures & said to themselves, this is what it meant, you go to your meeting & find out it meant something else...then in a while a new light, but you knew this before they did....So why can't you go to the society & say, hey, I think this scripture may mean this...but noooooo....you can't be more insightful or spiritual than the FDS...oh no....
As far as I'm concerned...the light can be brighter, that's ok, but don't shut down anyone if they see it before they did. One comment was that someone said, it was always there...so if it was always there, how come nobody spoke on it...you know why...because you would be called an apostate/opposer of the truth....It's like a person, leaving a good person & saying...you were good all the time...I just didn't see it...The WT can make mistakes, that's ok, that's why they put erasers on pencils, but don't say that WE ARE GOD'S MOUTHPIECE...in essence you are saying...God lied to us first...

But they didn't dare put it in print, why, because, in time another NWT will come out. So they are going to tell it to us...not put it in writing...that way, they can say, You must have heard it wrong, we didn't say that...I work for corporate america, so you see it coming....even before the new or revised bible came out...I thought something was up..The world prepares you for the Hall...they use the same tactics.

until the scientific method came along, your guess was as good as mine.. science differed from opinion by qualifying hypothesis with testing and something called falsifiability.. what was it?.

many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.

I couldn't say it better myself. Most go through the motions...do what is required, just to make sure they won't get a call for not doing FS, commenting, making their meetings & so forth...just enough to get by. I tried to look at it but, thought ...NOT....it makes me sleepy.

Now the United States papers need to pick this up as well, this is where the friends are the most in the dark...I'm not saying the religion should be disbanned but folks need to know where & what type society it really is, & if they feel to stay that's up to them. Same as when the Catholics were found out, some left & some continue to come & still join. It seems the Mirror is a reputable paper in the UK, we have reputable papers in the US as well...Wonder if it will ever make the big newspapers....

Pride....that's what it is...and as one of the comments made...."They couldn't handle it". It would be like the earth came from under them, for some of the friends, it's an emotional connection. I have found I have made some bonds in my congregation & would miss them if I left, & come to think of it, maybe that's how many feel. If they did admit it...that would be alot to swallow, enough to choke'em. You notice that most are wearing a badge that says.."JW.ORG"...so now they got what they always wanted....a badge of honor that they are God's mouthpiece...at this point, the GB's could say that God's name is Howdy Doody, it won't matter one bit...they got their badges now....they have finally arrived....
You see, we got it all wrong....they didn't get things wrong..I wrote this on another topic .....They are lead by the Holy Spirit...soooo, the Holy Spirit lied to them, because Jesus lied to the Holy Spirit &&&&&& last but not least...Jehovah lied to his son Jesus...ya follow...Jehovah has seen the new light getting brighter & brighter...that's why God wears sunglasses...because ...Justice is blind...( I just made myself laugh)....
