Why are there no black angels?

jw literature is racist as hell.

jesus looks like an american folk singer, the governing body look like a corrupt version of an enron luncheon.. the jw's literally print different magazines for africa with african pictures, black people instead of white, to make it 'more appealing' to them.... just to be clear that means they think the opposite is true too!.

....and then there is the lack of black angels..... .

I hear you. I'm a newby and as soon as I saw the literature I would say, Hey where the black folks at ? Only when they go to Africa, & when they do, they dress them up in American clothes. New hair dos & such. When I have looked at all the pictures everywhere....all white. I don't know why folks never saw it...Why is there only one black GB ? Why hadn't anyone questioned that before...I know why, not to rock the boat...I know many of black folks thought the same thing but you can't say anything about the org. Can you ? Now they must have felt the heat & now we got Bro. Heard...Affirmative Action & all...Why when you dress in a certain way maybe a little more ethnic they comment on that, you may have locks or braids, but if you get your hair permed & look like you know who, then you are accepted..you follow....Why is God in all bibles/Literature white....all the disciples...white...isn't Jerusalem, Judea & all those countries closer to the sun so wouldn't folks be darker, I'm just saying...

The words is ignorance & arrogance...Black folks are glad to be accepted so they don't dare comment on the literature or anything else. God will get them or should I say the Org. will get them...God has bigger fish to fry....

You say, "BUT IF there was a god and IF he was running everything through 8 window cleaners in Brooklyn, then you would expect a little less racism"...God isn't running things in Brooklyn or wherever they are moving the HDQ to....that's what folks don't get...God is not partial...maybe they ask the holy spirit to guide them but, God chose them & only them...NOT...As prideful as man is, God would never choose an org. to speak for him, he knows we get big heads & full of power...Just look at the Jewish folks...they still think they are chosen & walk around with their noses up in the air..so that's why I know God wouldn't choose an org...He saw/sees how Jews are....We can't even direct our own steps, you do remember that scripture don't you.

Just blame the art department at HDQ....they don't have nut brown in amongst the colors in their printing press...all seriousness aside..we all see in the color we are....as a friend of mine says...

"Black angels? Same reason there aren't any white juju preists. All depends on who was first to write the story".

What difference does it make...none..we are doing exactly what Satan wants us to do....Knit Pick...

As one of the commentors says it was white men who started the JW's....when they came could a black person buy land, would a white person sell a black person land in the name of religion...does anyone on here know how the black churches started.....do to segregation, blacks had to start their own churches because either they were not allowed in or had to sit in the back. Blacks only went to church at night or on Sunday, because being a slave you were not allowed to take off from picking cotton or tending to the big house to go to Church. Evenings or Sundays (only day off....MAYBE) were the only times they were allowed...I said...ALLOWED, to go. They kept slaves, obedient because of the bible...they told the slaves that the bible says, be good to your master, the slave owners forgot the other part of the scriptures...So the bible in the wrong hands can be dangerous..Many slaves couldn't read so, the slave owners said God said it...so who negate God. As time moved along...the Bible was the first book that slaves read.

So why no Black Angels, a Left handed Lithoainian could ask the same thing...We all identify with what we are...Why isn't God Latin ? Who knows..

COMPETITION IN THE CONGREGATION!

there always seemed to be a level of unspoken competition within the congregation.

wether it be between elders, ms, pioneers, etc... who's kids are doing more, who gets more hours out, who comments the most or the best, who gives the best parts, whos kids are the best, who has the better car, who has the better house, who has the better job and so on... it's not openly discussed but you can discern it through conversations, sometimes you can hear undertones of jealousy or meddling in others business, this always bothered me!

if this is gods organization whats with all the jealousy and competiton, i would see other religions or organizatons with less of these issues and question it!.

That's one of the attractions to the ORG. a competitive & busy spirit....you can tell by how many magazines some of them take when at the counter. When there isn't anyone there, they may grab one or two, because now there are 2 mags in one...but if there is a line...they grab handfuls, to make one think, they are use to placing that many....wait a while & then those same folks say, Oh My, I have so many magazines at home they are piling up. I go out in the field....if I place a mag., that's a good day. Most of the time I place tracks...I usually place the " Would you like to know the Truth? track...it says alot...& it's to the point...

As someone brought out here, most places of worship there are competitive folks, ones who want to sit next to the pastors wife or up front, when leaving the church some of the preachers stand at the door to when the congregation leaves & shakes their hands...always a few who want to appear that they know the Past'a & bend their ear...the deacon'ess, walking around in their white, giving folks a dirty look once in a while, another person who takes the same seat every week & puts her purse next to her so no one will sit next to her, eventually she will be asked to move her purse or move in, because she likes to sit on the end seat so whoever comes to sit, they have to by pass her, because that is her seat...& get this...don't even put a penny in the plate, yet expects the church to be warm, cool, working bathroom, etc...all types attend all types of worship...I have been to many places of worship the only difference is...THE DOCTRINE...but the same people everywhere...

Most of the time they love to say, oh, I just got in from field service, (it's about 5pm in the eve., but they didn't mention they just went out at 4pm). These are people who have to be constantly need approval...remember when Sandy hit...how many shared that, well this weekend I went to RBC. They all need ego boosters...AKA: NEEDY PERSONALITIES....

I'm not there to impress anyone or serve any human. When I give my time in & I give 1 hr. the same way I give 10 hrs....I do what I can...I work, and have other responsibilities..I try to balance it the best way I can. So let them compete....my name is Tess & I ain't in this mess...

10 years ago i stopped attending jehovah's witness meetings for good.

walked out of the kingdom hall cold turkey never to return based on injustices i observed among others and myself at the hands of elders giving out not god's counsel but personal opinions as counsel .

some of them weren't even giving out wt society counsel- just personal opinions.

You are correct. I do my research not only from the WT literature, but on the internet & wherever else I can find info. I believe the bible...that is the bottom line. What I meant by the truth led me to the truth is that, by us reading it every week, I saw holes in their doctrines. What led me to that is Examining the Scriptures daily....I would read the text then read the scriptures that were mentioned & many times the light would go off in my head & I would say, Hey, that's not what the bible is saying....then I started to realize that the WT taught the opposite of what most places of worship taught, not so much that they what they taught was the truth but that they don't want to be affiliated with other religions...by the way most witnesses are so behind the times of what most churches teach now....it's not even funny. Most churches are all about motivational speaking...meeting their congregation where they are at...making them feel worthy to come to God/Jesus...Like most folks they feel God is angry with them & that whatever they have done God/Jesus would never accept them. I always keep in mind the criminal that was crucified/hung on cross/stake & he was forgiven at the last minute...why? Because of his heart..God/Jesus are forgiving to anyone, whether you are an anointed class or earthly....ummmm, not sure if that is really true...but I just accept it in front of them & then say...NOPE...not so. All I know is that we are all going to carry our own loads when the time comes....

Thanks so much for replying to me. I will keep on this site...it keeps me level...& guess what? Some of the stuff on here & I give as comments...I also look at TV pastors & get some insight there as well & yep, give comments from there as well..They don't even know & at the end of the meeting, some will come to me & say, you know I never thought of it that way...in my head I say...You don't think at all...

Once I gave a comment about the cloud in the day & fire by night scripture...I said, God thinks of everything...not only did the cloud & fire was used to lead them but another spin or addition, if they Israelites where in the desert, the cloud protected them from the sun in the day & the fire protected them from the desert cold at night & kept them warm...it's just another way to look at it...but when I gave that comment, many of the friends said wow, you know Jehovah does think of everything...guess what Flipper, got that from a TV motivational speaker...

I have found just dropping little gems on them a little at a time...again I have infused so many things from other religions they don't even know it..as long as it makes God/Jesus look good.

Being a witness is easy...why ? for those who don't want to think, viola the org. does all the thinking for them....they are told what to say, think & do. This weeks WT is about preparing prayer...now they want to suggest how you should pray, gimme a break....but for some, that's good, they don't have to tax themselves....but most folks are thinkers....the lazy ones are never on sites like these...or if they are, they repeat exactly what they hear...

By the way, I know about the scandals of the WT, I know some up close & personal scandals....how a brother was appointed an Elder even though he was a heavy drinker, how a brother touched someone & got away with it & I could go on...but you know at my job the same scandals go on...in all the churches there are scandals, that's what I mean when man gets involved...we mean well, but sometimes the power goes to our heads & think what we do God doesn't see...

Why hasn`t / doesn`t the "TRUE GOD" clarify his " GODSHIP" between the JEWS , the CHRISTIANS and the MUSLIMS.

it has been about 2000 years since jesus walked the earth and has been hailed as the son of god by christians .. the jews refuse to acknowledge jesus as the son of god.. the muslims recognise jesus as only a prophet .. their are billions of christians earth wide.

their are at least a billion muslims world wide.

i`m sorry i dont know how many jews their are world wide ( please add the 6 million who died in concentration camps ).

I have been alive long enough to have seen him on The Ed Sullivan Show....Smart Man...tells or told it like it was..I remember he said, he only believes in what he can see....Sun, Moon, Stars.....but a Man in the sky, killing folks...his take on religion is something else...Anyone here ever see Bill Maher's take on religion ? Interesting...

That would be too easy...Everyone loves a good Fight...even God...I wonder the same question myself....he could settle the entire religious thing. From the Bible I read, God will, in his time. I think God is letting us duke it out...& saying ...."Moron's treat each other right, stop trying to dominate one another & take care of one another". The NT is all about Love...but we humans just can't seem to get the message. We want to know how many wives Solomon had, why was God angry with David, why did God kill the person who tried to catch the Ark when it was about to fall on the ground....etc. What I have found by reading the bible is...CONSEQUENCES...God many times warned what he would do, just like our parents....so when they didn't do it, he had to show them he meant what he said, but if you read it you will find that many warnings were given...Except in Noah days, God already chose who he would save. Sodom & Gomorrah, he kept asking Lot, if you can find x amount of folks he would save the city...but only Lot & his family..I think it was Lot. God didn't start his day saying, hey, I think I'm gonna kill a bunch of people because, well just because...I'M GOD. Nope, consequences. I'm not against the notion God could come & set things straight, he did he sent his son to show how we should love one another & are we....All we do is say to one another ...."MY GOD IS BIGGER, BADDER & BETTER THAN YOUR GOD" Everybody wants to be right...

Hi Kate,

That's what christians do, even non-christians...Care about our fellow man...we don't have to look alike or worship alike or vote alike....Allow the kind words to comfort you...Don't forget about God/Jesus...don't let an org./man take away your faith. Believe....that's all anyone can do.

Hope we talk more...I'm a newly baptized sister...I could allow the org. to depress me, but my happiness & joy are not up for grabs by anyone. That I own. Only God/Jesus can take it away....& that's not what they do...

Today, someone had a healthy baby, got goodnews from the drs., just got engaged. Flowers are growing, some snow hasn't been driven through as of yet. Not sure if you celebrate the holidays but you can't deny the lights are beautiful. Someone just got a job, someone got paid today so they can buy food or pay rent....I know a few jokes but right now nothing comes to mind. I'm trying to point out the beauty of life today...The happiness is within you...you just have to tap into it...whatever you are going through someone has it worse...I don't know where you live, but in NYC there is a missing young boy, I think he is 12 yrs. old...he has been missing since Oct. of this year...Kate, they haven't found him as of yet. He walked out of school & no sign of him as of yet, & he is autistic...How is his Mom doing ? who know but being human you can imagine...no sleep, can't concentrate at all..wondering & worrying. So whatever you do, try & stay positive, it's not easy I know...but a try beats a failure...

NYC...Love them murder burgers, with the mystery meat....ummm, wonder what type of meat that really is....but since I'm up in age...my body doesn't breakdown too much anymore...I sure do miss getting up in the wee hours of the AM & going to White Castle..Also, in my party days, ain't nothing like'em. Their shakes are great too...When I would buy them (when I got older) I would buy at least 12, 2 for the ride home & 10 for when I got home...Yummy.

How to get through an Assembly?

me just learning the truth about the truth has just made it hard to even get through a two hour meeting at the the kingdom hall.

i get so sleepy during them and i almost cannot contain it!

the last time i went to a convention, i was still an avid believer but as you can see, that has changed.

I didn't read all the comments, but to put it simply, do like all the other witnesses do..Take notes ....they all do & never look at them again. To me the assemblies are for us to sit back, relax & listen...it's ok to jot something down from time to time, just to let the wandering eyes of the over zealous, crowd pleasing witnesses. If you look around most of them are sleeping or aggravating their children by putting them in a chair, then out of the chair, then holding them, give them water or juice to upset their tummy...if the kids come with a big family...all of their attention is on the child/children...Folks walking around going back & forth to the bathroom (trying to stay up) or if they have on a nice dress, they get up & PRETEND THEY HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM.... it's all a show...

Again, just take notes or scribble to make it look good, everybody else does...Assemblies/conventions are pep rallies for witnesses....make us feel all warm & fuzzy that God chose us...out of the entire world..US...
