My uncle passed away..
by Valis init was only a matter of time before my uncle nathan passed away.
i wished i had gone and seen him before he died, but i didn't because we had a dustup about a month ago.
he was a sad tale..he had the talent beaten out of him by his abusive alchoholic elder for a father...he played classical cello for a while...except all that talent was robbed from him...so he ran...ran away and joined the navy...left the navy and led a hard life...jail, homelessness, near death motorcycle accidents, etc...he ended up in the va hospital about a year ago...he had fallen into a deep depression after succumbing to the inherited condition anti trypsin(sp?

jw's living next door
by orbison11 inwell early yesterday am i rented the cutest house, i am going to make it look like an adorable english cottage.
so later in the am i went back, aroun 10:30 to view again.
and i noticed a man in a suit walking out of the house next door with a big brown book that immediately to me looked like the nwt in large print.

mainly, tuesdays and thursdays for me.
waste the entire day at school, then come home, take a shower, scarf down supper and be ready to go by 6:30pm.

Avatars do make a difference for me in some cases, but not in others. For example, I read LoveTruth's posts, but always hear Capt. Jean Luc Picard talking. Minimus.. I sometims think of him as a red dot, but more often as the Larry King of JWD. Leolaia.. her and the previous avatar never gelled for me. People who use their real photo, it's somewhat easy to associate them with an avatar. I've probably changed mine to many times, and am too little known, to have any recognition to any of 'em.

so lets us this thread for posting examples of anachronisms obvious to anyone reading with an eye to see them.
i'll start with some rather glaring statements in the pentatuch that preclude moses as the author as is claimed by jew and xtian alike.

I don't think the JW's maintain that Deuteronomy was written entirely by Moses. I think they went into some length about this in the old Aid to Bible Understanding (A much better book then the two-tome Insight book that came afterwords)

I'm pretty liberal, I think, and have owned guns in the past. I'll probably buy another one someday, (I know a guy with a Browning Hi-Power and I'm just waiting for the day he is more broke then I am), but I don't have enough money right now. That said, I think that another amendment needs to be past to restrengthen the guaranteed right of gun ownership to individuals. Why? Because the 2nd amendment was badly written and its very difficult to to comprehend. It's working could, in the wrong hands, be used to actually strip gun ownership from individuals and given over entirely to the military under the clause of "Well odered militia." I'd hate to see that happen, because a democracy needs an educated populace, and a populace armed and capable of defeating tyrrany within their own nation state.
