  Letter Read Last Night

  hey bro, i just thought it may interest you to know that they read a letter last night describing how they need to build a new printing facility up at patterson that will be the size of two assembly halls.

  they will be getting all new printing machines to be shipped from all over the world, and they will need many volunteers for the project to be completed by january 2004. and we should all realize that this is going to be at a tremendous cost, the buildings alone should cost about 60,000,000 dollars.

  please start praying about what we can do, yada, yada, yada.

  maybe 9-11 scared the crap out of the ones at the top still living in NYC.

  they may fear some attempt of an attempt by NYC to tax them, possibly. That's sometihng I never considered, also. Does WTS pay property taxes in Brooklyn? They'd have to be astronomically high. On the other hand, they have prime real-estate there. If they totally vacated brooklyn and sold their properties, they'd make more then enough money to pay for new facilties in Patterson.

  One thing I don't understand is why they would be building new presses instead of repositioning the ones they have. I've worked in some OLD printing facilities before. Some of those machines are ancient and are working just fine. They've already cheapened their printing methods, going to soft-cover etc, so this move to new presses is a but puzzling. They're good at making money though, so whatever the reason, $ Almighty is giving them their direction.

  I went into the Kingdom Grocery Store, a wad of outdated, yellowing convention food-tickets in my sweaty palm.

  I found aisles filled with Shasta lemon-lime soda, Shasta-cola, pudding-cups, cellophane wrapped hoagies, and cheese danishes. Ah.. sustainance!

  The butcher's department was filled with freshley removed hearts of elders, who wouldn't need them anymore anyway.

  The deli had pickled pioneer brains. Yummy. They make a wonderful dip when munching on stale no-blood cards.

  The magazine aisle was stocked with Watchtowers, Awakes, and Startrek fanzines. I picked up a case of Rutherford Beer and headed out into the sunset.

  i'm a skeptic by nature, although not necessarily a very logical one.

  i believe in love but i am not sure of the idea of one true love or soulmates.

  What if...

  i have been thinking a lot lately, with anthony graduating and going into the marines.

  but, a horrible thought hit me the other day.

  what if when thunder and i chose to leave the "lie" the kids had stayed.

  My ex is nominally a JW last I checked, (some kind of fade thing, I think) so its possible the kids might want to be JWs too when they grow up, but I doubt it. They already like birthday parties, extracurricular activities, learning, and ghost stories. Trading those away just to worship some cruel and fictitious god would be silly, when they've already seen by example how easy it is to walk away. And if not when they are adults and can make that decision I will let them know everything that is trulyl f\/cked up about the dubs.

  Didn't mean to trip your wire.

  No need to be insulting and call me moronic. I'm not a moron, anyway. I didn't say all loving relationships were codependant. It is just my opinion that many of them turn out to be just that. And as another person mentioned, your definition of codependancy is a bit narrow. As for the status of myself, thanks for caring! I am actually in a very good long-term relationship with someone I do love. And I love all kinds of people. It doesn't mean she's the only person I could have loved, or ever will love romantically. I'm realistic about that. Like I said, I'm not going to sublimate myself for another person, be it my kids, or anyone else. It's not egotistical, but it is perfectly reasonable.

  When you love someone like that you don't lose your self at all, if anything the person that loves you back upbuilds you and allowes you to be all that you can

  So there is a fine line between this kind of "love" and codependancy. No thanks, I'll take my chances.

  Maybe for some.I don't honestly think I would want to love someone like that, though. They way I hear people talk about it, its almost like their "soul-mate" is heroin. I can't see it that way, and I would hate the thought of loosing myself in another person. To (mis)quote Harlan Ellison, "Love aint nothing but sex mispelled."

  Its just my opinion but that people who have this amazing deep devoted love for another person, are basically in need of someone to worship. And that's fine, but it's not my thing.

  now, the war is over, the weapons were not used and of course have not been found.. how threatening could they be if they did not even use them when being invaded by a massive force (of the countries they hate)?!

  perhaps, as many suspect, they didn't use them because they didn't have them?.

  now we're being told that we'll have to be patient and give them time to find them.

  ThiChi and I agree on yet another thing. Libertarian party has the potential to wreck the two party system (and I hope it does). When I vote third party, I don't feel like I am wasting my vote. The Greens in America, on the other hand, rely too much on Nadar. He's getting old, and he is not well liked by many people. If you like travelling faster then 55mph, you don't REALLY like Ralph "Unsafe At Any Speed" Nadar.
