for a few years now i have been getting a weird feeling with the oh-so-frequent use of term faithful and discreet slave, and some times class added.
i mention the added part cause we always say "is the word trinity found in the bible?
" nope, and neither is the phrase fdsc.

Here's THE REAL way to get rid of the yellow--or red--without needing to go back, even. (Though that is an easy way to do it if you don't make mistakes.)
HIghlight the sentences that are yellow or formatted in a way that you want to change back to normal. Then, right above the "font" menu, just left of center, is a funky icon next to a paperclip. That is the "clear formatting" command. Click it and your sentences are cleared of unusual formatting.
BTW, I really think you asked a powerful question. Good for coming up with it!!
And did you know that the WTS teaches today that they NEVER taught the FDS doctrine as being an individual (ie, CT Russell)? This despite the early WT mags which did indeed call him that.

on my recent "college courses" thread, i got this contribution from veradico and thought it deserved it's own thread.
it was news to me.
this is a partial quote:.
Excuse me, I have to make a phone call:
"Hello, is this the lab? Okay, remember that blood sample you got from me back in 1987? What did you do with the leftovers? Nevermind why, I just need to know! No, you can keep the stool sample. Unless I get some new light."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!! That was great, Bumble Bee!
I loved the various comments about the mosquitoes, too.
Troubled Mind... My husband prescribed leech therapy to an elderly patient a few years back who had a horrible ulcer on their lower leg which was not responding to any medication. The leeches worked very well, and very quickly.
This thread is quite interesting..
i'm shocked by how many people i know who live in larger towns that do not lock their doors or windows.....do you?
Wow, Susan--what state do you live in? You're not crazy at all to invest like that after all the events you described. I'd do the same.
Black Pearl... You mean Lady Liberty loads shot guns, keeps the dogs hungry, and sleeps with a machete...??? Wow... (gulp)
My sister's family has never locked their doors for years. And they live in a large city in WA.
We lock the doors at night. We have a dog that alerts us to every visitor, so no one can just come on in easily. Motion sensor lights help, too. My neighbor tells me he's been hit several times... but his yard is full of "toys" like quads and bikes, while our boring home just boats a patio and table. I guess he attracts the attention away from us.

This is a bump to the top, and I ask that people please consider sending a paypal gift (pm me for FHN's email address) to help defray the bills.
YAY, FHN is able to handle work again! And is pursuing new leads.
YAY, Andy is doing so much better than originally anticipated.
YAY, Julian will not be taken from FHN's custody!!
YAY, Ricky Bobbi has been found! <--consider that a hamster
Your support, with words, email, cards, posts on JWD, and by financial gifts have really made a difference in this family. THANK YOU for stepping up!!!!!!
Special need right now: Getting the car's multiple problems fixed!! We're almost at the end, folks, so if you can send FHN a gift to help her get her car fixed (and pay for gas and insurance), please, please do so. Every bit, even $5 or $10, will count.

I really liked your first comments; they were sharp! The comment about "why WOULDN"T an honest translation of the Hebrew support the NWT?" in particular. I think the end could pack better punch, though.
Maybe, in a similar vein, you might ask, Why are we never allowed to "test all things" if the Watchtower's teachings are "good"?

the bridge of my nose hurts.
i can't even touch my skin.
it hurts on the sides and on the top.
I thought I was squeezing the nose part of my mask too tight last week. I have worn the same kind of mask for 20 years. Then I realized that I hurt too bad for that.
What is this mask?
My husband (a provider in the medical field) says that if your pain is as severe as you say, you really should go see a physician. Do you have someone who can drive you to the hospital ER if you would not be able to drive yourself?
Let us know if you figure this out. Severe headaches can mean a lot of different things...

yesterday, thursday, july 26, 2007, a conversation with a street witnessor (isn't that what you would call someone involved in street witnessing?
) got joined by a walk-up elder turned into a great opportunity to witness to several bystanders (who even joined in the conversation).. i began by declining to accept the offer from the elderly woman who held up a "what does god require of us?
i said, "but, verne, you aren't going to the bible.
Wonderful!
You were prepared, but the whole conversations was motivated by really caring about the people in front of you. That's what really shined through and brought light into the dark.
(Hey, I hope you are enjoying your new job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

today, i went to another one of my asperger's syndrome support groups.
these support groups are supposed to be my home away from home, where i can voice about being different, and also the struggles of trying to communicate in a world that doesn't understand me because i'm autistic and because i grew up as a jw and adjusting to worldly life, and i see a dub there.
and an ironic thing is, she was at the support group on a meeting night.
Well, sounds like the issue must be important enough to her to MISS A MEETING!!!!!
Which is good!! Perhaps she is happy to have an excuse to miss a meeting! Even better!
But if she isn't... I'm sorry about it. I wonder if you might consider talking with the facilitator about this, if she is still gung-ho as a witness. It could definitely interfere with your own progress in the group.
