Crazyguy, just give your wife room and don't worry when elders are trying to help her. You da'd, so everyone knows your position feelings now. As for your wife this situation is not easy. Be kind and gentle towards her.
Jgnats advice is good.
so while i'm symbolicly burning at the stake for hericy, my wife is getting consoled by the very priests that lit the match.
doesn't get much more ironic then that does it?
i don't know how much longer i can take this.

this book is very interesting.
it's supposedly written about 300bc, whereas revelation is around 70ce.
in the bible, the book of daniel, it speaks of "the watchers".
I just read the book of enoch at the moment. I don't know if I can believe it (as well I am not sure about revelation and some portions of the bible) but it certainly gives a lot of additional information to the bible.
In Jude there is a direct quote from the book of enoch. So first century writers or even Jesus must have known its content.
i could go on and on about my personal journey over the last 2 years or so, but i don't need to.
everything i needed to hear to finally lay my doubts to rest happened on one meeting night.
it could only be divine providence.
DD
It was an eyeopening study.
Beside MEPS it was in the brochure that they never begged nor petitioned men for support.
I understand you
;-)
hey i'm new here, i've been reading up so much here and on other sites about tatt and it has really settled a nagging feeling of doubt within me.
truly i have been lied to and have been trapped in this cult.
i've been suffering with depression, anxiety, attempted suicide, hospitalization, anti depressants, loneliness all this while being in supposedly surrounded by "the happiest people" on earth.
Dear Winnie
I feel for you. Yes to have doubts and then certainties can be very troubling and it can come with a lot of tears and pressure. But I tell you it is good that you didn't bury your doubts. From your words I think you are a young person. Maybe it is a good idea to go to university in another country. Don't worry You will be able to find some great friends. Just be determined to show unconditional love to everyone. You can do something good with your life. The best times of your life us ahead of you.
However I think it is important that you have someone to share your feelings and doubts. Why not telling your dad everything that troubles you? Or maybe even your mum (you will know how much you can tell your mum). But do not open your heart to the elders. I did that and it was no help. Everything they care for is that you come back to "mother organisation."
I wish you all the best and be assured that I think of you.
Love Daniel
check out the watchtower's erroneous definitions/descriptions of evolution and creationism in paragraphs 2 and 3 respectively on page 7 of the october 15, 2013 watchtower:.
"in its basic form, the teaching of evolution asserts that all life came into existence spontaneously.
"on the other hand, fundamentalists of christendom teach that the universe, including our earth and all life on it, is only a few thousand years old.
Both theories in their modern form exclude any external supernatural agent. Evolutionary scientists today don't support Darwin's statement that a creator originally started it all off.
Modern science cannot prove or disprove a creator who might have started evolutionary processes. There are a lot of scientists who believe in a creator who started evolutionary processes (for example Francis Collins director of Human Genom Project).

The theory of evolution does not say a word, that there is no God or no creator (only atheists and fundamentalists in the scientific world say that). Darwin did never say that there is no creator. He even ended his work "Origin of Species..." with the words:
"There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone circling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being evolved."
was just looking at how many articles the wt put out around the time when al gore was pitching the global warming bs for his nwo (new world order) friends.. .

Lambsbottom: that was not meant to attack you. Maybe you live in a good way ecologically. Wbts probably has environmentally a bad impact as their printing uses too much resources and trees. At least they are downsizing.

You live in a dreamworld if you believe that global warming is a fraud from msinstream scientists.
Global warming is a fact that you can see with many examples.
Come to our mountains in switzerlanand you can see it firsthand. Go to greenland, the arctic or antarctica and you can experience it. Go to the philippines and look at the aftermath of one of the biggest storms. Or make vacations in Kiribati that is about to vanish in the pacific ocean.
Well yes, just deny all the facts and continue to take always the car, eat big steaks and so on and our grandchildren will thank you.
i was thinking about using a tactic of asking questions revolving around "noahs flood" to try to start my wife doing some serious thinking.
unlike doctrine that cannot often be proven one way or another, this issue can be proven beyond the slightest doubt that it is impossible.. i was thinking about asking a question something like this "i was reading about coral reefs today, and they sure are amazing!
what amazed me the most is how long it takes for them to build the reef, and how long they live!
I don't know if logic will change something in her belief system. I also explained once all the logical flaws of the flood story with my wife. She says that probably the flood was local and not global. But who cares 'We will find out in the new system.'
It's however a good way to do it with questions.
On this thread we discussed about the flood too.http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/268118/1/Dr-Hans-Kristian-Kotlar-supports-creation
