I asked Bethel that question about 3 years ago.
They still work on the answer.
would intravenous insertion of milk into a human be wrong?

so that other thread was fun but now i need some help with something.
i was born in the truth most of my family is in.
although they aren't outwardly super spiritual i doubt any of them would ever leave.
As others said there is no easy way that they won't realize. No matter what you do, it will be discussed with the co, written to the branch etc.
But know for sure. The whole ms or publisher thing is not compulsory. It is your free time and labor you spend as a ms or as a publisher. You could just tell them "enough", stepping back without even giving a reason. They would many times ask you why / the co would ask you why. They would maybe assume that you have a hidden sin. But you don't owe them an explanation. It is all voluntary.
I was in a similar situation as you are. I never wanted to be a ms or elder, but I couldn't say no, so finally became an elder.
After 2 years being an elder I came to a point where my conscience couldn't bear it longer. I called the cobe and said I am resigning. I wrote him a letter and stated I had too many doubts about the bible being inspired of god, genocide and infanticide committed in gods name, don't agree with shunning of df / da ones. After a talk with the co I was free. Such a wonderful thing. The first step. I was a normal publisher. Brothers wondered what happened but i didn't care about the gossip. The elders said they respect my decision and it is better to step back than to fake it. They wanted to help me with my doubts. But they didn't have time to meet with me the next 2 years. I learned more ttatt and my doubts became certainties. My uberdub wife separated and the elders were back in my life. I had hours and hours of discussions; and I was clear to them that I don't agree with most of the doctrines especially the blood thing. I was surprised they let me fade. I went to less and less meetings and completely faded.
In the end when not attending anymore, most of my jw friends don't contact me anymore. So I am starting new friendships which takes time and is not easy.
Bit i can tell you. It's worth all the hardships and also sad things to be free. I feel great being able to live according to my conscience.
I wish you all the best in you personal path to your freedom.
well my mom asked me if i would be attending the district assembly that is taking place this weekend with them.
i gave her a firm "no", she gave a look of total surprise.
probably because in the past i would say, maybe or if i can and would sometimes show up for half a day.
i'm shocked to hear that composer james horner has been killed in a plane crash aged 61. so many film scores, titanic, avatar, braveheart, field of dreams, aliens, cocoon, patriot games, bicentennial man, star trek iii: the search for spock, sneakers, batteries not included, the name of the rose and many, many more.
a genius who will be sadly missed.
he gave us so much beautiful music..
He was my favourite film music composer.
I loved Braveheart and Legends of the fall score. Titanic and Avatar were great too.
i hope all is well.
recently my uncle ( my mom's brother ) passed away, he was never a jw but evangelical christian all of his life, never accepting my moms teaching.
so my mom in facebook keeps on making references to other family members when her brother comes back in the resurrection and live in the paradise ...i thought that worldly people who is not jw will not going to be resurrected .... what is the current teaching on resurrection for nonjws?...
it came today, the dreaded envelope containing my personal copy of "return to jehovah" from my elderly, desperate mother.
it included a small note asking me to read it over and to let her know what i think.
she got it at her assembly.. firstly, i'm angry that she continues to push her religion on me, given that i stopped attending meetings over thirty years ago, and very offended that she assumes that i still want to be a witness, which is her choice of religion, not mine.
Just send her a short letter, assuring her how fine and happy you are, that you love her unconditionally no matter the different religious views and feelings you both have.
I also got letters like that. Usually I write something like that:
"I have a close relationship to my heavenly father and I am happy to be able to have faith and live according to my conscience. I can't follow any longer the Watchtowers rules (for example shunning, blood, child abuse), as they are going directly against my conscience.
I wish that you find a lot of joy, love and satisfaction in your personal faith and relationship to god. Be assured that I love and respect you unconditionally."
I am sure this is much better than to write a long controversial letter.
You can't change the faith of your mother, only she can when she is ready.
kill me.... it's hard to put into words just how badly i do no want to sit through this 3 days of bull $hit.
i will appreciate any and all words of condolence, humorous, serious, or otherwise.
just heard the stupidest thing ever on this weeks service meeting: it was regarding the volunteers for cleaning the stadium before rc.
they are not allowed to wear shorts or printed t-shirts .but hey its summer!
its gonna be warm!
Many years ago I attended a language course in bethel.
Everyone was dressed with suit and tie. Except me in my shorts and colourful t-shirt with don't know what slogan on it.
As they approached me if I could maybe change my outer appearance I said. "Dear brother so and so, I am very sorry, I thought it is just a language course with being able to think and learn in comfortable modest clothes. I am sorry but I just brought t-shirts with me for the whole 3 days."
I think the other brothers were jealous as they sweated the hell out of their close tied shirts during hot summer.
does anyone of you have the outline of the saturday afternoon regional convention talk "symposium: imitate jesus' use of power - wise parents (mark 10:14, 16)?".
if yes, could you show / leak the outline?.
i am wondering if they are deliberately searching for a couple who made an experience with a son or daughter who left the organisation.. there was a thread a few days ago that encouraged all those attending different regional conventions to record (film or just voice) this talk / interview.. unfortunately copy, pasting the link doesn't work.. would be great to have access to different recordings, and have different shunning experiences publicly mentioned.

zambia has one of the highest concentrations of jws in the world.
their influence has impacted the political climate in that country to such an extent that the president attributes low voter turnout to the jws.. http://www.lusakatimes.com/2015/06/04/deregister-jehovah-witnesses-for-promoting-voter-apathy-cosmo-mumba/.
"national revolution party leader cosmo mumba has appealed to the register of societies to force jehovah witnesses to start singing the national anthem and participate in national elections or be banned.dr mumba told prime tv in lusaka that jehovah witnesses are the ones responsible for the prevailing low voter turnout in recent elections.he said theregistrar of societies should immediately force jehovah witnesses to start voting or ban them from practising in zambia.dr mumba said singing of the national anthem is a sign of patriotism and wondered why jehovah witnesses have been allowed to disregard symbols of national pride and patriotism like the singing of the national anthem.he claimed that zambias democracy may not grow if institutions such as the jehovah witnesses are allowed to continue operating in zambia.
