Got outta hospital today
by Brummie injust wanted to say thanks for the pms, i'll spend more time online in the near future.
i went into hospital early tuesday morning, had surgery wednesday and had to have a flamin pipe stook up through my gum travelling into the back of my nose.
not nice lol, they had sewn it into my gum but they took it and the stitches out this morning so it was only 2 days, the other stitches will disolve.

My wife stole my books!!!!
by dmouse ini had an interesting conversation with a jw last week, who insisted that she was not 'brainwashed' and would be prepared to look at any evidence i had that the 'truth' was not the one true truth.. so i went to my book cupboard to get my copies of 'crisis of conscience' and 'signs of the last days - when?
' in order to lend them to her.. and they are gone!!!!
i am absolutely certain they were there only a few weeks ago.. i can only assume that my jw wife (whom i'm not on the best of terms with) has taken them.

FAT PEOPLE = BAD ASSOCIATION
by Funchback ini carry a few extra pounds but i generally don't overeat.
however, i enjoy a good meal.
but, the organization that says, "let us not judge others" is giving it's members free reign to judge those who are overweight (in the judger's eyes).

You might want to ask your dad if he thinks it will make it any easier/better for him and your mom if you talk to the elders? I wonder if they're pressuring him? If he thinks it will make it easier, you might ask him to talk it through with you since you have no intention of saying anything the elders want to hear. If he doesn't care, don't talk to them.

While I agree with metatron's assessment of "better and better" I really do worry that environmental degradation will catch up with us. Not God's angry hand. Our own lack of stewardship.

What books are/have been helpful to you?

i first bought "taming your gremlin" when it first came out in the mid-eighties.
it's just been reissued and i'm working my way through it again.
