  how much can one person gag?

  it is interesting to note that clive thomas (canadian branch office) spoke during his part in such a way as to betray the fact that he was personally aware that what he was saying was false.. it's one thing when a local onion gets exuberant about parroting the gb's nonsense.

  it's quite another when a bloodsucker like clive comes from the branch and does a "bait 'n switch" the way he did.

  The last time I saw a witness offering magazines was in an airport. The people who took them didn't give any money and it didn't look as if any way asked for. Which suggests that it's the peddlars who are the buyers which is an even neater trick.

  i'm joining everyone from the bowels of the sun princess, a ship belonging to the princess cruise lines.

  about an hour and a half ago, we left the port of seattle for alaska.

  my grandmother sent me and my grandfather on this trip for a graduation present.

  DaVinci Code & "Mankind's Search for God"

  the watchtower doesn't want its members to see the da vinci code.

  probably for the same reason they don't want its members to read their book "mankind's search for god".

  they went to the trouble of researching and publishing this attractive well illustrated book.

  This is the only JW publication I've read. I was making notes to discuss with the person who gave it to me from the first page! It was presented to me as "the best researched and written of the Watchtower publications." Silly me, with no experience of knowledge, sat down to read it from that perspective. And my eyebrows were up and my jaw down almost immediately.
  
  I thought it was interesting that this "best of the best" immediately revealed the writers to be people with no intellectual integrity whatsoever.
  
  Needless to say our conversation about the book was exceedingly short.

  "Hemophiliacs are like vampires!"

  as i have talked about before, i have a serious bleeding disorder, not hemophilia though.

  back in the dark ages of the '70s, the medical term used was "pseudo-hemophilia".

  because i did not get appropriate medical care (thanks to the wts), i spent many hours during meetings sitting in the smelly ladies room at the kh trying to control my nosebleeds.

  while talking to my teacher today we talked about excommunication.

  i told her i thought it was mean to not talk to those members which have been excommunicated.

  she told me; however, that those who leave the church should be punished.

  I was thinking about what people otherwise ignorant about JWs think about JWs when they think of them at all, as I was reading this in Carl Hiaasen's "Skinny Dip."
  
  "Pinchot, the geriatric Pomeranian, had been located t the county pound, where it had been quarantined after nipping a slow-footed Jehovah's Witness."
  
  It surely reflects my attitude before I discovered JWD as I was researching after discovering a friend's prediliction for the religion.

  UPDATE 2: Since Freedom is Free, Why is it Taxed?

  yesterday after school i had to go work on a project with friends.

  mom said be home by 5, but there was a huge accident a mile from where i live, and i sat on the road for like 10 - 12 minutes, and was 5 minutes late getting home.

  mom was there (didn't go to work- guess why) and she was pissed.

  well it looks like my plan to fade might not work after all.

  yesterday afternoon i was in my office when two elders stopped by for a visit.

  they came into my job and began to question me in front of my boss and my new assistant!

  Do you suppose this is a new strategy that's coming from Brooklyn? Harass you until you disassociate? How would that benefit them? It is very strange. In any case, I'd like to add my expressions of sympathy to all the others. It must have been a harrowing experience.
