Yes....... And the elders considered me a threat.
One elder in particular approaced my husband and advised him to keep me in line. It seems I was causing disagreements between them and their wives. I think the ladies appreciated my frank and honest opinions.
By the way, since I've been out, I learned this same elder divorced his wonderful wife and married another sister. What a jerk!
i have a question for anyone who can help me.
i found a wooden casket in the water i opened it and several notes and some sort of biological remains inside.
the casket was only 12"x10".
It could have been someone who was exposed to Jehovah's Witnesses but didin't understand or know all of their teachings.

Absolutely! I learned this first hand. Do you suspect this guy may also be physically abusive?
in answer to the one i sent him..i had sent him some christian tracts .which he admits he has little use for spiritual things ( which i can understand bless him) but he did say he wouldnt throw them away one day maybe!!!.
he said that he agreed with me that an apology is truly in order ,& wanted to take this time & the opportunity to offer an unreserved apology for his conduct on jwd,of which he is both ashamed & embarrassed to everyone there /\....he also added he wished you all a very happy christmas.. .
he added that he has not been on jwd since ....thought i would let you all know.. so any who do pray .

most of the people i've met since i left don't know that i spent years of my life as a door knocker.. i have very dear friends who don't know.
i've even had lovers who didn't know.
my last partner knew, and found it vaguely amusing.. i guess i find it deeply embarrassing, although over the years it's become easier to mention it.

Never when I was a JW. Even though other JWs thought I was a bad apple, I was a very spiritual, good girl. (albiet outspoken)
I did try it after I was out during my rebellion period and still do about once a year with one of my adult daughters. No big deal.

You are an extraordinary gal coming out here on the forum so you can be a support to him. I don't think that's an easy task for someone who hasn't lived in the JW world.
here, they decided to pick up the trash only once every 2 weeks from now on in the winter time......gee, years ago, they picked it up twice a week... .

i am one of those people who always gives money to those who ask me on the street.
the reason is because there was a time when i was a kid that my siblings and i needed to beg on the street for food money because mom and dad were both addicts.. anyway, i was on my way into walmart and a lady stopped me and asked if i could give her a few dollars ($5 to be exact) so that she could pick up a prescription for some medicine.
she explained that she and her kids have been sick with bronchitis and although the kids were better she was not and had run out of money until her check came on the first of the month.. i can also sympethize with having to wait for government checks to buy what you need having grown up on state welfare programs and i reasoned that $5 is nothing for me and my husband because combined we bring in over six figures a year income.
From what I've seen, the ones who really need help usually are not the ones asking for it.
I couldn't agree more. With that said, I look for opportunities to help. The ones who need it most, won't ask.
