i have been reinstated for just over 5 yrs and still have not had my privileges back.
i am a single mom and have been to all the meeting that we can, doing our best outside of kids colds and flu's, not to mention car trouble, but i have always turned in my time each month and study reports, but still i can not answer.

Years ago I played Pac Man and Leisure Suit Larry. They were extremly addictive so I gave them up.

I don't think Trey and Matt are concerned about a lawsuit. They've offended just about everybody already. (Except the open-minded of course)

Wow, I can't believe I'm doing this....
by megawatt inwelp...
it's been a crazy ride for over 25 years, pretty much raised as a witness (ever since i could remember), rebelled against my parents, came back, straighten out for a little while, married within "the truth", but the last 5 to 7 years, i've been seriously questioning the changes and doctrines established by the wts.
never thought i would be looking from this side of the fence.

This will be a long journey, which I have NO IDEA where it'll take me and hopefully wife will still be at my side
Yes it is a long journey....but but then Life is a "Journey".
Fortunately there is a worldwide Support Gourp. Many of us didn't have this when we left and sadly, some lost all hope and ended their lives, not realizing how precious they were.
We welcome you with Loving hearts. You are so loved and valued!

Confronting my JW teachings and beliefs. Just read Crisis of Conscience.
by digderidoo ini have just finished reading crisis of conscience by raymond franz.
i only stumbled across this book on wednesday in the town library while waiting for a public computer.
the last couple of days in the uk has seen miserable weather which has effected my work so i have had plenty of spare time to read this book.

Don't be so hard on yourself Paul. It took me about 12 years after I left to read it. And then it was only at the coaxing of my older daugher Miranda. I remember thinking the same as you, "If only I'd read it sooner" ~ This would helped me through the depression stage of my recovery.

by restrangled ini am ripping off a topic from someone else.
no need to tell your name just the meaning and does it describe you?.

My means Goddess of the Moon. I'm also a Leo. Both fit my personality of wanting to be in charge.

I Never Led a Double LIfe when I was a JW. I didn't agree with some of their regulations but I was open about it and lived my life accordingly.

JW IQ's. Below average? (Includes SM anecdote.)
by Open mind inare dub bulbs just a little dimmer than the general population?
here's a little highlight from this week's local service meeting that prompts my question.. it's the annual, 20 minute, robotic hand-pumping session conducted by the secretary trying to get everyone all hyped/guilted up for this summer's district convention.
anyway, towards the end of the q&a, there's a paragraph that talks about offering a ride to the elderly/infirm ones in your congo.

I don't think JWs have lower IQs than the general population. Remember we were all once where they are. From my observations, most of those who have left are above Intelligence; that's why the WTBS didn't work for them. Many, many more will be leaving.

How old were you when baptized as a JW?
by Serg ini was 16 and not a clue in the world what i was getting into..... how about you?
how old were you?.

My children were all raised as JWs but I forbid them to get baptized. I always felt this was a decision better made when they were adults. If they had gotten baptized, at least three of the four would have been disfellowshipped before they graduated from Middle School!
