Amazingly great post!! Loved it loved it loved it!

the governing body not only lies to it's members about their true history but also about life itself, worldly people and former members.. here are some of those lies that come to my mind.. .
"jw's are the happiest people on earth" -.
fact: depression, anxiety, fear of punishment, paranoia, is what jw's live with every day.

after leaving the cult of jw's or waking up to ttatt, it is a struggle to trust people again.
i am personally starting from scratch although i am still in.
each moment i spend with my current jw friends, i know they are all smiles and loving towards me because of my good status with the wt.. outside a cult you still find fake people and it is also a struggle to find true friends and it is even worst when we've been hit hard from people we used to trust and care for.. .
I asked someone how to trust someone else. His answer? Give him 10 dollars. The point was, you have to test people. Trust is earned... With time... But you will find that there are dozens of very trustworthy people in the world... Just gotta open up... Some will fail you, but if you don't shoot you'll never score, right?
add your own thoughts:.
top 10 wt changes if a mexican-american brother is appointed to the gb:.
10. zoot suits are now acceptable for talks.. 9.
LOL!! Good ones!!
weve all heard it.
a person starts studying with jehovahs witnesses and love what they are learning so much that they cant stop talking about it.
bubbling with enthusiasm, they spill everything they are learning with their friends and family...or anybody who will listen.
And may I modify it just a bit to add the UBM part? Frazzled do I have your permission?

This is such an excellent post Londo!! May I translate it and post it on a Spanish exJW site? You'd get the credit, of course. Londo from jwstruggle...
here is the situation.... a young 19 year old in our congo had a fallout with his parents because of all the restrictions and jw dogma and moved out of the house last wednesday.. to make the story short, the parents went running to the elders and what was the comfort?.
coe said: i saw that coming!
your son never reached out to get baptized.. then the other elder said: don't worry, you still have one left that will be saved.
So many things Suavojr!!
I would stay away from strict doctrine and stick to principles... For example, contrast Jesus with the Pharisees, focus on how they went to crazy lengths to make more laws... And how Jesus condemned that.
Also focus on the part of the Sabbath and how Jesus pretty much said it is OK to put the Law aside for a moment to save a life...
now, i know this is preposterous, in fact totally an unbelievable hypothesis, but what if the gb decided that to go more mainstream and pick up more suckers, sorry, converts, they had received new light that the basic idea of the trinity was true.. obviously they could not be as blatant about it so as to say something like the various creeds say, but i can see a way that they could teach something that was more akin to mainstream christianity, and would make them seem less wacky-weird in comparison.. how on earth would the old-school dubs react ?
it would shake them up so much !.
i know this is far-fetched, but i do see them doing something similar eventually, some years down the line, when they are running out of cash.
Two doctrines that the JW's have held constant since pretty much the beginning until now are that there is no hell and there is no Trinity... So... I think it would shake up too many...
i wondered how fast the wt publications used the word "soon"... as in expectation of some prophecy or fulfillment.... eight pages into the first watchtower... july 1879.... "our design has been to present to the body of christ, "the chaste virgin" church, which expects soon to go in to the marriage and become christ's bride, a selection of sacred songs especially adapted to her condition and expressive of her desires and hopes.".
the expectation?
1881. http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/1800s.php.
What others would be interesting to research? "Around the corner"? xD

The JW's should really trademark the word... = P
i really starting to see the problems with the bible and it being influenced by other cultures, religions and also the fact that many of the books or letter were written after the fact or so called prophecy.
so i am wondering would it work better to try to wake my children to ttatt about the jw cult or work on destroying the bible and its credibility?
which do you think would work better??
Definitely TTATT, then TTATB, but that's only later, if at all. I like AudeSapere's discussion...
