  so... i am gaining more experience reverse-witnessing, and i had the greatest of ideas!!

  i don't have to say anything against the watchtower, there's sufficient flip-flops in the wt to make one cringe!!

  so what i did was, opened a fb, went to a jw forum, added as many jw's as i could, and opened up a fb page that just posts quotes from the very first watchtowers.

  If you guys/gals want to help me, please PM me with ideas as to what articles I should post.

  The idea of my page is something like "today in Watchtower history in..." and then a year, starting from 1879, and then a quote from the WT.

  For example:

  Watchtower, September 1879: " "The great day of His wrath is come, who shall be able to stand?" Rev. 6:17.
  "The day of the Lord" is a scriptural name for a period of time, during which the Gospel
  and Millennial Ages lap; the one ending, the other commencing."

  Also, please PM me if you want the address of the website, but please only "good" comments (don't want to scare away the JW's... I will delete "apostate" comments, remember I am playing the role of a good JW). If you know someone who is a Witness and is open minded and doesn't mind going to webpages that are "friendly" but not the "official" one, then please PM me and let them know about the page. It needs to grow and have a "critical mass" and then it should take off on its own...

  Hi all!

  So... I am gaining more experience reverse-witnessing, and I had the greatest of ideas!! I don't have to say ANYTHING against the Watchtower, there's sufficient flip-flops in the WT to make one cringe!! So what I did was, opened a FB, went to a JW forum, added as many JW's as I could, and opened up a FB page that just posts quotes from the very first Watchtowers. I am posting quotes from September watchtowers in 1879, 1880, 1881, etc... There are JEWELS there...

  So far, I have gotten some likes to my page... eventually I should get more likes and I will keep on pretending I am a good JW... not too hard to fake... ;)

  I am not commenting at all, just posting quotes and pictures of the old WT's... someone should be able to think and see some things that don't match...

  It is awesome, I don't have to move a finger!! I know that some will say, well... they will just say "old light!" and move on... but some will be absolutely shocked at the stuff that was taught in old WT's and Awake's...

  I have already been not allowed to comment on the FB page... all I care about is the few people that see these things... they read it, think about it... and the seed lies dormant.

  There were many seeds lying dormant with me... they took years to germinate.

  There will also be false teachers among you.—2 Pet. 2:1.

  How do false teachers operate? Their methods reveal a cunning spirit. Apostates “quietly bring in” corruptive ideas. Like smugglers, they operate in a clandestine manner, subtly introducing apostate views. And just as a clever forger tries to pass phony documents, so apostates use “counterfeit words,” or false arguments, trying to pass their fabricated views as if they were true. They spread “deceptive teachings,” “twisting . . . the Scriptures” to fit their own ideas. (2 Pet. 2:1, 3, 13; 3:16) Clearly, apostates do not have our best interests at heart. Following them would only divert us from the road that leads to eternal life. How can we protect ourselves? The Bible’s counsel regarding how to deal with them is clear. (Rom. 16:17; 2 John 9-11) “Avoid them,” says God’s Word. Other translations render that phrase “turn away from them,” “keep away from them,” and “stay away from them!” w11 7/15 2:5, 6

  However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among YOU . These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves.

  Also, with covetousness they will exploit YOU with counterfeit words. But as for them, the judgment from of old is not moving slowly, and the destruction of them is not slumbering.

  wronging themselves as a reward for wrongdoing.

  They consider luxurious living in the daytime a pleasure. They are spots and blemishes, indulging with unrestrained delight in their deceptive teachings while feasting together with YOU .

  speaking about these things as he does also in all [his] letters. In them, however, are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unsteady are twisting, as [they do] also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

  Now I exhort YOU , brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that YOU have learned, and avoid them.

  Everyone that pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. He that does remain in this teaching is the one that has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to YOU and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into YOUR homes or say a greeting to him. For he that says a greeting to him is a sharer in his wicked works.

  This will be ridiculously hard to reverse-witness to, but there are some smart people here.

  the word out of bethel is of a mass purge the likes of the 1980's.. there's also possible public reproofs handed out for irregular ones.. .

  *Facepalm* What do you make of this cultish email I just got from my JW friend? What do I say to her?

  a bit of background: she is a sweet sister who has hard a really hard life: mum killed in an accident when she was young while once-an-elder dad was off having an affair after having been released from jail after serving time as a pedophile; she spent months in hospital after the accident which killed her mother; brothers jailed as pedos, ex husband left her cold with their 6 month old son- she's had a tough life and is a really sweet lady.

  she's intelligent, caring, forgiving and articulate.

  far too good for jws.. she 'brought me into the truth' as they say, and as such we've always had a pretty good bond.. now, after the gossip/slander fiasco of another so-called friend running around telling everyone i'm an apostate and not to talk to me, i unfriended my jw friends from facebook with an explanation.

  Security cameras inside & outside the Kingdom Hall ?

  i recently heard from a family member who is still active about the new security system in her kh.. during the installation of the digital projector on the auditorium's ceiling, she said that the brothers who came to install it (i'm assuming some from the regional bldg group) also installed security cameras.. she specifically mentions a computer screen at the sound box that shows live feeds of - the parking lot, the carport/drop-off, interior view of the entrance, the lobby and magazine counter & the 'little room' ( the 'elders room' with conference table, computer and printers, filing cabinets, library, etc).. has anyone seen or heard of these being installed in a local hall ?.
