i have two great friends who seem to have major issues in their relationships.
lately it seems they can only discuss their on again/off again relationships.
both of these friends have literally broken up with their boyfriends and gotten back together three times in the past 3 months.

Good to hear someone else feels this way. I felt horrible when one friend persistently asked why I hadn't been speaking to her for awhile and I finally unloaded. I feel bad now because she's now engaged to this guy who's an alcoholic and spends all his money on pot and booze. I don't make any comments about anything relationship anymore. After all she's gotta live with em!!

born; molested by cousin; best friend murdered by her father; eating disorder; abusive boyfriends; betrayed by best friend of 15 years; disfellowshipped; married after 6 months of dating; disowned by family; moved cross-country where i don't know anyone (this is only a partial list of course).

I am sorry to hear life is down in the dumps for you. Many who've responded have offered some great suggestions. When life has gotten me down, I usually go to the library to hunt up self-help books. I'm a HUGE self help junkie. Have you ever thought about joining any online communities in your new city to meet people in person? That might help if you are feeling lonely. Thought about taking up a new hobby? And you always have a friend here in Denver Colorado if you need a break from Florida!

I am trying to be supportive and help them get through this time, but am honestly sick of hearing about it every night and need some positives in my life. Am I a horrible friend to feel this way? Any of you sometimes get bogged down with other people's troubles?
well, i had my first day at work today, hungover from too much wine at an art showing i went to, but otherwise did ok!
this place seems pretty awesome so far!!!!!
we get free lunch catered everyday, my co-workers are totally fun, the bank in the plaza offers freebies and benefits for employees of our company (zeeba surgical), and the salon downstairs offers discounts!!!

Ug, telemarketers give me irritable bowel syndrome. I heard it was some dumb-assed judge here in Colorado who felt it was wrong and unconstitutional to have a do not call list. That boogar should have his house called everynight in the evening when he's relaxing from a days work and listen to someone try and sell him a new mortgage.
hello this is my first post and i wanted to introduce myself so here goes.. my name is lainey, and i have not been to the meetings for about 4 years now.. i am 28 and work as a doctor in a big city university hospital as a sho.. also for my sins, i am cassies little sis, and i am staying with him for a little while, as i am signed off sick for the next month with a stress related disorder.. after the death of my older bro and my dad within the past few months, i started suffering from terrible nightmares, most of them connected in some way to my witness upbringing.. me and cassie have talked for some length and he suggested that i spend some time having a look on this site and meeting others who have had similar issues to face in life.. i hope you are all are better listeners than cassie, who tends to fall asleep when i am in the middle of talking to him.

Yes, I would vote for Arnold. All of us have done dumb shit in our lives..it's just stupid politics to bring it up at election time. I loved the interview with Arnold and Maria on Oprah.
60 minutes tonight, special on aborting all the baby girls in india, it has become an epidemic so severe they have placed a ban on tests that predetermine the childs sex.
now women are going underground to find out the sex of the child and abort it if it is a female.
this has caused an imbalance in the population and men are having a difficult time finding wives.
I am aware of this and it is appalling. My parents adopted three orphan girls from China. I was able to visit an orphange. It would break your heart to see those adorable faces rejected because they are girls. One of my sisters was abandoned in next to the toilets in a government building at 2 months old. It's still hard for me to imagine discarding human life like that. Another issue with India (and the middle east) is female circumcison (sp). Grrrrr that makes me furious.
i feel so down.
i am beginning to think i am the kind of person that just walks away from their problems, instead of confronting them.
when people hurt me, i will hardly ever show it, voice my feelings or anything.
