I'm happy. . it's weird. . you too?
by StinkyPantz inover the last couple of weeks there have been a dozen or so threads about people having a bad day or bad week.
i feel guilty because i have been quite happy lately.
i've been making quite a bit more money; i've been getting 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night instead of none; i've made several friends at work.

The Flavors of Apostofests
by Mindchild inperhaps you have noticed this trend as well, that apostofests are now frequently being combined with other activities of a recreational nature.
for example, the upcoming florida apostofest will have a halloween party and the next day a barbeque.
i?ve seen several other vacation ideas planned around apostofests in the past that run from having fun on gambling boats to touring las vegas.

What Would A Jehovah's Witness Romance Novel Be Like?
by minimus ini was reading in the religion page of the newspaper today that the mormons are enjoying romance novels in which descriptions of the characters' sex lives are limited to little more the first kiss--- that could happen after they are engaged to be married........any ideas of what a jw romance novel might be like?

What JW belief/idea do you disagree with the most ???
by run dont walk inis there a particular belief/doctrine that really burns you up and makes you wonder how people could believe this, and did you as a loyal jw at one time believe in it (your most hated belief), what made you change your mind ???.
for me, i always enjoy reading the history of the watchtower (1879-1974), and how things constantly change from year to year.
the sodom and gomorrah question is hilarious .

Gosh all of the JW doctrine is stupid. Like all the clean-up we'd need to do after armageddon is over...and the number 144,000...why out of all the numbers in the bible, did they chose that number to be a literal number?? They also pulled the year 1914 out of their asses and based a whole bunch of fictional doctrine on that bogus number. *sighs* What nonsense.

I was naughty when I was 14. My best friend from the KH and I met up some worldy people and went trick o' treating on Halloween in my neighborhood. We'd snuck out...and I heard my mom driving through the neighborhood calling my name!! LOL, and we hid in the bushes. Eventually I had to go back home and felt so guilty about celebrating this evil/satanic/pagan holiday, I read the bible that night and praying for forgivness.

oh and another thought: I doubt the shoe will ever be on my foot; as I've NEVER in 24 years of my life broken up and reaquainted myself with an ex-boyfriend, let alone three times. When I'm done with em, I moooooooove on to the next fish in the sea....
