I had been drifting out for a few years, but the catalyst that made me start researching apostate viewpoints, was when the sexual molestations broke out in the newspaper. I was absolutly APPALLED by the article I read. Rat bastards.

I can relate to your statement above. My mom, dad and myself all asked ourselves that question! Especially after we learned about the sexual molestations occurring in the Kingdom Hall's across the globe! I would highly recommend you read the book, Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz, as it puts everything you learned as a JW into perspective.

Thanks Julie for your response!
Our church is involved in all kinds of community activities, many of them in conjunction with other religions (such as Catholic Services).
I noticed that today in the info packet I was given. I was impressed!

Heya Viv -
I think LadyLee had a good point to let the person know how they're making you feel at that moment...if they're being condescending, an asshole, ect. It feels quite empowering to tell someone how they're making you feel. I also like to carry around my aluminum baseball bat when they don't hear me...

OMG They are doing commercials now!?
by flower ini just finished watching martha stewart and after it went off there was a set of commercials before the news came on and i swear i just saw a commercial from the christian congregation of jehovahs' witnesses!.
it was about raising your children with knowledge and love.
it showed a teen girl on the internet in a chat room with a person who had become her best friend and wanted to meet her in person and they said something like if it seems too good to be true it is..'love builds happy familys' was the slogan or something.. .

OMG, I am stunned they'd turn to TV to promote that cult! Isn't that a WORLDLY medium being used to spread the word?? And WORLDLY cameras would be used to make the ads. Shame on those hypocrites.
