  Sounds like what my JC told me. 'You know, we are being loving here. Time was when we would just have taken you out and killed you...' In a different thread ( What? So Korah gets rez now? What about me? I'm an apostate too.... ) Jeanniebeanz & tijkmo said that they were both told this. Has anyone else been told this? Is anyone stunned about this as i am? Is the WTBS subliminally talking about killing apostates/themselves? I can't help but think of the "Would you drink the Kool-Aide" theory as well. Have others been told the same as jb & tijkmo?

  Mates that trash the other parnter in front of the children

  how do you feel about it when a formally together couple split up and one of them talks really bad about the other to the children just to get the kids on thier side and to turn them against the other in revenge to sooth hurt feeling?

  I left my husband when my sons were 3 & 4. I did not trash my ex in front of my sons. He, however, played mind games with them and trashed me at every opportunity. My sons would get mad at me and tell me that they were going to live with their dad and that there was nothing i could do to stop them. I would tell them that it was their choice and that they had a decision to make. Now they are 16 & 17; they now understand why I left him, not by me telling them but due to the way he trashed me and to the many times he has let them down. Don't get me wrong, it was very hard at times to keep my mouth shut. Especially when promise after promise he made to them was broken over and over and over again. I would just say to the boys "i am sorry" and then go to the bedroom, beat up my pillow and tell the pillow what a sorry a** M*********** ..... ..... ..... he is. They know it now - i didn't have to say a word.

  it is interesting to read the comments of so many who are no longer "in the truth".

  i have not associated for 18 years but as my parents are still very much "in the truth".

  i never disassociated myself as i feel to do so is to acknowledge some form of official status over me.

  it's wonderful knowing the collective years of experience that we can tap into because of the fantastic variety of people that we have here.

  specifically, blondie always comes to my mind when i think of valued posters.your research and ability to analyze is about the best there is on this board.
