did we read the same article? Because the one I read said the KH bought their property first. I'd never in a million years expect my neighbor not to develop his property anyway he saw fit simply because I liked to sit and look out my dining room window.
and as for me being a JW......technically yes. Haven't been to a meeting in almost a year. Not that it has anything to do with this. I'm just taking an unbiased look at the situation and not looking for any weak excuse to jump all over the organization.

an elder in my cong told me they started a local fund to help anyone who needs money in getting to the DC because this year's program will be "EPIC, think in proportion to the 1931 convention." Those were his actual words. He was not alive in 1931 so I'm not sure how he has any idea how epic it was.

I chew nicotine gum. Back when we were still going to meetings my wife told on me because she was mad at me about something totally unrelated. So I had to meet with an elder who brought articles about smoking. When I told him I wasn't smoking he told me chewing the gum was no different. I said I thought smoking was wrong because it damages your body. He said yes but it's also the drug nicotine that makes it bad. I said I didn't see the difference between that and drinking coffee. I said in fact I get more of a drug like effect from caffeine than the gum. This elder is rather dim and this flustered him and he could only stammer and repeat what the article said about smoking and tobacco. Since I didn't want to get DF'd for chewing gum I told him I understood and realized the grave error of my ways. And as he walked away from my house I waved out the window at him as I pulled another piece of gum from my pocket.

CO is chasing me . Meeting him tomorrow.
by Ancientofdays inthis week is the "special week", co is back.. he phone called me this morning asking to meet together.. i replied "i don't refuse people who want talking to me, but my condition is that you must be alone, and we meet in public space.".
he agreed and we will meet tomorrow in a cafe.. .
this week he already met with my wife in the kh, and he told her "i believe your housband is apostate !!

the circuit assembly
by thedog1 ini am off to the circuit assembly tomorrow.
not really looking forward to it as it is the first one i will go to after finding out many things on this forum.
since the last assembly i have read coc, in search of christian freedom, and some of the gentile times reconsidered.
