I hadn't used JWR in a while, but guys...abruptly shutting the forum down was kind of a douche-bag thing to do to people who were in need of support.
By kicking them to the curb, you may have very well kicked some back to the org...good job.
i just tried to go to the site and there is a goodbye message.
i was a member there since 2010. i was really surprised.
i had just started posting there again after being away for a while.

we are madly in love with each other and she is in the process of being divorced.
let me make one thing clear i'm not the reason for the divorce.
she attempted to reconcile with him but to no avail.

way to early on a saturday morning we got a ring on our doorbell.
someone else answered the door.
after they left i walked by our entry way and gagged from the smell!
you see ive started dating this girl and her family is of strong jehova belief.
now i am not i do see certain things in there studie that is true in my opinion but ive never really been a religion type of person.
i think i want to marry her but i am not a jehovas witness and am not looking to be anytime at all she says that is ok and we can still get married but i dont know how its possible or where we would even do it please i need advice
none of my jehovah's witness relatives called to tell me or my family.
just found out this morning.
i decided to tell this small story.. about 25 years ago, we lived in a certain area in the usa and associated with the local congregation there.
coincidently, one of the elders was the assistant congregation servant in a different kh and congregation which i grew up in.
therefore, we knew one another well.
the culture of jws as encouraged by the watchtower is one of informing on one another, reporting to either the elders or ones designated head.
whats the wackiest thing that someone reported on you?
im not talking about a black-and-white watchtower rule that would land you in a judicial committee, but some judgmental nonsense that someone thought they should turn you in about?.
Something my husband and I didn't even do.
Eating chocolate in the back someone 'sees' us sucking each others fingers like we were giving oral?!?
The hounders pulled us back...didn't tell us who came up with the story...just what we were accused of. We didn't know what to make of it.
Don't know how eating chocolate turned into sucking on each others fingers?
last night i ran into a former elder friend, he is in his late 70s.
he asked how i was doing and i asked how he was doing.
then out of the blue he tells me; .
My husband watched the broadcast and just sat there saying: 'they're wrong...'
He also says things like: 'If I die of old age in this system...'
I just wish he'd wake up and realise its all crap.
first of all; i must admit that i'm not a huge fan of putting people in boxes like this, it is not an exact science.
but i still think the data can be quite interesting and i intend to collect it and share it in a structured way with you guys.
so without future ado here are the details.. link to test: .
