I'm a bit torn on this because I know the kid was pressured, and I know the kid only knows JW belief systems and so forth. BUT, I also know many here left when they were 14, I think that 14 is bordering on an age where a child can make a rational decision.

About three years ago where the new blood cards now have a clause saying that the card carrier consents to the elders being GIVEN ACCESS TO THE MEDICAL RECORDS of the patient.
I don't think this really matters, in order for anyone to get medical records a card like that won't hold up at a Doctor's office they're going to need a signed HIPAA form in order to get a single thing. That HIPAA law is a b*tch even other Doctor's offices have trouble getting medical records, there's no way an elder is going to walk into a Doctor's office holding a small card and getting a single thing.

A Sucker Bet , err, contract, to use on "End is Near" JWs
by Open mind inso i'm getting mentally ready for the big un-thanksgiving celebration our extended jw family is planning for this friday.
turkey and all the fixings of course, but a day late, and wt-approved.. almost inevitably at our big jw family gatherings (tm), someone will make a statement or observation along the lines of "armageddon's so close" or "we're in the last minutes of the last days", you know the drill.

Do you have any references for that? I've already got the Black Plague for disease. This would be great for war.
If you check it out online there's at least 12 different sites that are about it. If you go to any sites that have compilations of war casualties this one is right behind World War II, and it's actually only lower by something like 6 or 7 million. Which I think could actually be argued whether or not you count the holocaust as casualties of WWII or not. There's another war you can bring up in the Hundred Years War, it killed 20 million just on the French side. That doesn't include England and this is only a 20 year period of it as well. If you can convince people that percentages are far worse than the actual number then this is a great argument to prove that war was far more devistating back then.

This is funny, I just issued a challenge to anyone who believes it's the last days on my channel.
Another good question to ask:
"I was reading about the An Shi Rebellion from the 14th century, did you know that more people died in this rebellion than in World War I? I always thought that World War I had the most casualties of any war previous to it, but apparently that's not right."

I think it was Jay Hess who came up with a reason that no JW could argue with regarding why he wasn't a JW.
"I can't be a Jehovah's Witness because I believe the book "Angels and Women" is a demonic book. I believe the people who advertised and sold this book were bad people for doing this and most certainly not God's people. I am opposed to demonism of any kind and opposed to anyone that supports it, so if the Watchtower can agree that these people who advertised and sold this book were in fact bad people and not part of God's organization then I could become a member." When they say that they most certainly would condemn such people point out "The Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones who advertised and sold this book, they believe that people who advertised and sold this book were the faithful and discreet slave at the time. So as long as they can say they aren't the faithful and discreet slave and not chosen by God to represent him in 1919 (when they were advertising and selling this book) then we should be good."
Honestly I don't think that's going to work, I love the logic behind it though. You're probably going to have to paint with a broader brush on it. You could look up history and let them read facts about previous time periods and how they're much worse than today to dispell that they're in the last days.
I have a youtube channel as well that might be of some help to give you an idea on what to hit on and how www.youtube.com/timkilgore I made my channel for a young child of mine.

Humans congregate to do bad things online...
by Tuesday ini'm on a site now that streams wrestling pay-per-views illegally.
i'm on because every time i go to a ppv at a bar or if i actually order it for the price without fail i feel jipped.
especially since the wrestling is usually terrible and choreographed.

But if I go out and buy a Mercedes and complain I am getting jipped because they cost too much or buy season tickets for the theatre and say I am getting jipped ... well .... sorry ... I don't understand.
You've never gone to a movie you felt was terrible? What if you were a movie reviewer in your free time for instance on a blog, after a while would you feel like you didn't want to spend money on certain movies because you know they're going to suck? Or in the case of music, do you not feel annoyed when you buy an album because of a song you heard that you liked only to find the rest of the album is terrible?
This is kind of what I'm talking about here...
The problem with busting on people assuming things is that 9 times out of 10 you're completely wrong. Wrestling is pretty much the only "sport" I watch, I don't like really any other sport. I'll watch MMA a bit because I've done that too in my free time.

Your favorite stuffing/dressing recipe for Turkey
by restrangled inevery year i like to try something a little different, but tend to go back to my favorite...whats yours?.
i use 1/2 pepperidge farm seasoned bread crumbs and 1/2 corn bread and add the following".
2 onions chopped and at least 5 stalks celery chopped sauteed in a cup of butter.

Stuffing that I use is actually pretty easy, you can add red onion, celery and carrots if you want to but it's not necessary. I use the Ramen noodles alot for stir-fry so I always have the flavor packets around. In a medium saucepan add a stick of butter, when melted add in the chicken ramen flavor packet. Remove from heat, then add a package of krutons. Mix until soft, you can then add it to the turkey if you want to or just eat straight.

If you fell compelled to PAY to watch pro wrestling, roller derby or other redneck "sports" .... and then complain that it costs too much ... well ... I fell sorry for you.
Get a hobby. Read a good book. Get a GED.
I am a pro-wrestler, I need to keep up on the latest stuff because when I do indy shows the children talk to me about the current product and I need to at least know the basics to talk to them about. (Check out some of my matches by searching Tim Kilgore on youtube or go to www.dailymotion.com/timkilgore )
Get a hobby? You're talking to the guy who did the Tough Questions for Jehovah's Witnesses series on Youtube, I also program video games in my spare time along with video editing. Last book I read was The Prince which was a week ago. I don't have a GED, I do have a High School Diploma, an associate's degree and a bachelor's degree. Oh and I'm returning to school to get my doctorate in Pharmacy in the Spring.
Don't stereotype, you always end up looking more ignorant than the person you're trying to stereotype.
