  Catholic Church Changing its Mind on Gay People

  miracles still happen, eh?.

  centuries of misrepresentation and persecution of gay people may be about to end, as far as the catholic church is concerned.. more than 200 bishops have been taking part in the synod since 5 october.

  it was convened by pope francis to debate abortion, contraception, homosexuality and divorce.. monday's report, issued half-way through the two-week meeting, said:.

  Will JW rape victims die at Armageddon as apostates?

  many jw victims flee the "truth" after elders have raped them and covered it up.

  doctrines aside, there would be no reason for one of these young victims to conclude the watchtower environment is god's arrangement on earth.. does the organization acknowledge this irreparable damage or will it write these victims off as apostates, slated for death at armageddon if they choose to get the hell out?.

  If Gillies has any decency in him he will eventually join us - whatever his tipping point may be. If he does not, then how he looks at himself in the mirror is for Jesus to worry about.

  Forgive my ignorance. Is that still a functioning farm?

  I thought the WT shut down it's farming venture. If so, the WT still has to maintain the land to some extent until it sells. Road fronts, buildings, etc... That's a bit of a bleed for 500 acres.

  I predict soon one of the governing body members will bring his wife on set where she will just cry and cry and her eye makeup will run down her face and people will send lots of money to help develop Watchtower real estate in poor African villages.

  ... the Hebrews passage would seem to be dealing with a more general attitude of not wanting to be under any authority at all (at least in the congregation).

  Well, that's a pretty good description of where my mindset is now. I will NEVER allow myself to be lorded over again. So the scripture better mean something else or it will be filed away with "You must accordingly be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect" for consideration in another life.

  "Be persuaded by those going before you, and yield to their admonition".

  That does make a lot of sense. I imagine we here are as qualified to translate the Greek writings as anyone on the NWT committee. Maybe more so!
