  Do you remember the 15 minute break at the Sun. meeting?

  a poster on another thread reminded me of when there was a 15 min.

  break between the talk and the wt study on sundays.

  the break was supposed to be to allow jw's time to drive their bible studys home from the talk.

  NAVYTOWN: A 'college education' from where? Possumtrot University??? A PhD in doorbell ringing, no doubt.

  I got a double PhD in sound system/mike handling. When you have that many degrees hanging on the wall it makes it difficult to relate with the common people.

  i believe that most witnesses would refuse blood to show their faithfulness to jehovah's law on blood transfusions....( that sounds silly, huh?).

  Not only would I have not accepted blood, I personally marked an elder's wife for her decision to accept fractions for some medical problem that she later died from. I MARKED that bitch and she died for her error.

  Yeah... I was that person.

  Hilarious Rumor: Halloween falls on Friday the 13th for first time in 666 years.

  the date passed by already, so i will mention the silly rumor that was going around.

  this is freaking hilarious.

  the rumor is a gullibility joke where it is hoped that the reader fails to remember that this holiday observance is on the fixed date of october 31st.

  Convention new book reveals "GROUP 2" of the 1914 generation...the horror.

  the convention book released yesterday....say hi to group 2 of the 1914 generation!!

  a graph shows group 1 being fred franz john barr etc...with a group 2 consisting of the current young faithful slaves we "met" the "group ones.

  That diagram needs to be in the Bible Teach book so that new recruits can see it before they get too hooked - while they can still see it for what it is.

  Or does the overlapping business constitute the "deeper things of God", not suitable for book one?

  This weeks #2 & #3 talk on homosexuality

  after a one year sucessful fade and no longer associated with any congreation, i was visiting my sister this week (who goes to the meeting to please her husband for now; i am slowly planting seeds though) and they decided to year this weeks midweek meeting via the telephone.

  since i was a guest in her house, i sat with them in the living room to hear the meeting.

  to my surprise (especially growing up as a gay jw with still alot of anger in my heart over how i was treated), the talks 2 and 3 where on, of course, homosexualiy.

  it all seems kind of hokey.

  it comes from some unofficial gmail account that i've never seen and telling me to go to a generic form website to enter in my personal information.

  leaving_quietly: They are desperate for workers at Warwick, it seems. They've gone to great lengths to get people to go help. ... their letters and now this survey certainly makes one wonder if all is not as it seems.

  For example, who of you that wants to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expense manpower, to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, he might lay its foundation but not be able to finish it, and all the onlookers might start to ridicule him...
