  HURRICANE to hit NOVA SCOTIA today..are you READY?

  i'm getting hit .. today.. with hurricane juan.. it will strike metro halifax between 6 and 9 pm this evening.

  winds 90 to 140 km/hour... up to 80 millimetres of rain.

  "this is the worst case scenario for halifax... we are right on the hit list"..says forcasters.

  i have done load of washing, cleaning, getting school uniform ready - (and all that goes with that) this sunday morning.

  what a chunck out of your day attending the kh was!

  i remember being so tired after sunday activities: make sandwiches for fs, get kids ready, get to kh.

  Ray Franz and 1975

  did ray franz believe that end would come in 1975...i am asking that because my jw friend said, that he listened to his talk few years before 1975 and that ray was very clear about 1975...my jw friend is blaming ray and those who were d/f in 1980 for 1975 fiasco and because they were d/f, he doesnt see any problem with 1975...thanx for your comments

  its my birthday, my mum gave me a plain card that said inside " dear scott, although we don't celebrate birthdays, i want you know i thought of you today, i'm proud of the child that became the boy thats turned into the man you are today......i love you today and always "my" boy.

  Looong assemblies.

  when i was a kid in the early 1970's, i remember assemblies being longer thatn they are now, but because i was little, i do'nt remember.

  also, i've heard in the 50's & 60's they were even longer.

  how long were they?

  Way back in the 'glamorous presidential era' with folk like Russel, Big Joey Rutherford and Nathan Knorr, the assemblies used to be for up to 5 days, about 10 hours a day.

  We all die one day man.

  I knew this one guy, he was mad on fitness, what he ate etc. Got to 21 and was ran down by a speeding motorist.

  I dont take stupid risks, but frankly, talk of diets, skinny women, shrinks telling me what I can and can not eat piss me off. I purposely look for whatever DOES NOT say 'low fat'.
