  i've posted in the past about some tension with some coworkers.

  i'm sure some of it is my fault.

  i've got a quick temper and the stress at work really brings it out in me.

  as some of you know, i sent a letter to the elders of my last congregation disassociating myself from jehovah's witnesses.

  i was originally going to wait, as my mother, who's 81, is very ill with cancer.

  she's not expected to live very long.

  Great that she did understand - and very sorry for her that she was left on her own.
  My experiences are quite different: each day lots of JW's at the door and I had to limitate the visitors to 3 each day. But then, my mother (87) was sick for 11 weeks only....
  
  I missed your "new to the board" but welcome anyway.

  at first i was disgusted with this article about what the roman catholic church is doing in the face of the abuse scandals.

  but then i got to thinking .... at least they are doing something to comfort the grieving families, at least they are doing something about the policies that caused this problem, at least they are admitting there is a problem and addressing it.

  sure not all might agree with their methods, but at least they are trying.

  What Is Your Favorite Jewelry???

  if you could enjoy a jewelry present of any sort, what would you want??

  I'm not able to show you something (every picture is done by my daughter, but she is in Slovenie on holiday) , but my favorite jewelry (wearing every day and night) are 2 rings with each saphyr-ruby-diamonds, 1 with enamel (flower-form) and 1 (big) with tourmaline.
  
  a necklage with a golden skittle (won by my grandfather in 1925 beeing the champion that time)
  
  Jade-onyx-diamond earhangers and a black watch. (and the only time I lay that off is when I am going to swim - don't think it is water resistant.)
  
  There were times I'd feeled like a X-mass tree.
  In the past I used to change my jewelry each day, today I 've given more then half to my daughter and am to lazy to change anything (except sometimes 1 ring and my earrings)
  
  I've been a collector all my live and don't want anything news now - have to much already.
  But I still like to admire beautifull jewelry on others.

  Did you use the JW calendars?

  even in my hardcore active jw time i had no use for the jw calendar.

  i ordered it each year and put it into a drawer.

  most months were really ugly illustrated and it was completly useless without the holidays.

  never used it, and I have allways refused it - telling them I have no place on any wall to hang it up.

  We did it -- we're married now!!

  june 20th marked a new beginning for me and yourschelbie.. we had a justice-of-the-peace wedding, with just a few family and friends on hand.

  the judge did a marvelous job of capturing the essence of the meaning of marriage in just a few minutes.

  (and we weren't reminded that serving a publishing company should be the #1 priority in life, lol.).

  i've been having a rough go financially lately and my job is less than rewarding.

  my hours have slowly been cut back over the last few months to the point where i've had to decide between food and bills.

  however, my sister's friend brought me a job ad.
