You Ought to Know,
Changing the subject won't disguise your miserable failure to refute or defend my statements regarding your cult's encouragement of child abuse and exploitation.
Your pompousness is only exceeded by your ignorance.
several enemies of the watchtower have ebulliently expressed the sentiment: let the games begin.
indeed, i too share that desire to let the games begin, so-to-speak.
but, what exactly are we to expect when once the games commence?

what's up folks?
nice to see you all still hanging out.. here's what has me pissed this morning:.
there's this elder who i've know since i was about 8. he was one of these super spiritual m.s.
All this time I'm in my K9 BDU's and with my sidearm. He did not say a word about it.
Patriot,
I'm assuming (more like hoping), given the above, that you are a law enforcement officer. The quote above gives me the impression that you were expecting a negative response from this guy regarding your profession. Did becoming a law enforcement officer result in JW problems for you or did you become a law enforcement officer after you left the JWs? I've been out for 23 years, but I seem to recall that a popular elder in our congregation was also a law enforcement officer (he was a detective - not a uniformed officer), who was known to carry a concealed weapon. To my knowledge, no one in our congregation had any issues with that.
repeatedly, the scriptures admonish jehovahs people to stay in wakeful anticipation of gods judgments.
the not so obvious reason being that we don't know exactly how jehovah's judgments are going to go down.
however, the ordering of events once the judgment commences should not be in question.
Jehovah obviously holds elders and the Governing Body more accountable as to how they discharge their shepherding obligations. - - You Know (but he obviously doesn't!)
So what accountability is Jehovah going to impose upon the leaders of your cult who have encouraged the abuse and exploitation of children?
i must say that as a neutral scientific observer of this site--it seems that things are kind of one-sided here.
i thought this was a board with both devout jws and ex-jws on it.
on further reflection it appears that this medium of communication should probably be called ex-jw.com.
I thought this was a board with both devout jws and ex-jws on it.
For one who represents him/herself as an "intellectual academic," you are ostensibly ignorant of the teachings of the Jehovah's Witness cult. "Devout" JWs will never be found on this board because the JW cult forbids communication with disfellowshipped or disassociated members and also admonishes its members to avoid material written by "apostates."
On further reflection it appears that this medium of communication should probably be called ex-jw.com. Hey it is your choice what you want to call it.Thanks for acknowledging our freedom of expression. Now maybe you can convince the leaders of your cult to allow its members similar freedoms.
But objectivity and openness are important for us intellectual academics.Intellectual academic? Isn't that an oxymoron?
As for your objectivity, a review of the posts indicates that you haven't fooled anyone here. It may surprise you, but the folks on this board are not as easy to fool as the sheep you're accustomed to. Welcome to the real world!
Do the elders in your congregation know of your activities here?

I am making fun of you personally. / You Know
Here's another example of a Jehovah's Witness who doesn't practice what they preach.

I don't think you get it. I am not laughing at child abuse. I am making fun of you personally. / You Know
Personal attacks are the only thing left for you to resort to, since it's quite obvious you are unable to debate in an intelligent manner. Your inability to do so is probably attributable to the "numbing" effect of the cult brainwashing you've been exposed to.
I don't laugh at you, I feel bad for you. You seem like a person of wasted potential, one who could have done something with his life but made the mistake of following a cult instead. What a waste of life you are.

Maybe you could start up a movement called the Silent Marsupials or something, devoted to all the little kiddies who were prevented by their cruel JW parents from watching Saturday morning cartoons.
You Know,
Did they program you to laugh and make light of child abuse at your cult's "service meeting?" The more you post on this site, the more folks can see what a sick person you are.
The Koolaid stand awaits, partake freely of the cyanide-citrus mixture. Remember the sign at Jonestown: "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it."

I was laughing at your silliness of equating discipline with child abuse. / You Know
You Know,
Expecting toddlers to sit still for hours of mindless, boring programming and beating them severely for not doing so is not discipline. It is child abuse, and you can attempt to otherwise characterize this abuse, but your characterization will only be accepted by others within your extremist cult who are either ignorant of the basic needs of all children or are criminally disposed.
The ironic aspect of our discussion is that you present my case better than I ever could. Among other things, you've described needless death as a "victory" for your cult, you've equated coerced servitude of exploited children to "volunteerism," and you've described child abuse as "discipline." Do you have any understanding of how this reflects upon your own personal character?
Keep writing; the more you write, the more others will see how despicable your cult really is.

and to think, i thought i was valuing my precious gift of life so much that i was willing to sumbit to a violent crime in order stay alive.
how twisted my thinking.
Got an extra copy of that Watchtower? I ran out of toilet paper.
well, my brother and his wife came over to my parent's house to visit today while i was home.. to make a long story short, while my brother and his wife were chatting with my mother in the living room, my 1 and a half year old nephew reilly walked into the kitchen where i was making a caesar salad.. he walked over towards me and was smiling, how can any normal adult resist the innocent smile of a child who is your relative?
i picked him up and gave him a huge hug, and told him i loved him.. as i was holding my nephew in my arms, my brother walked into the room.
he was smack dab in the middle of an in-depth conversation about jehovah with my mother and his wife, and i admit i was rolling my eyes listening to him spew about the "truth" and "the only means for salvation in the last days of this wicked system" even though when i confronted him with info on the un, blood, russell gravesite, rape changes, exclusivity, etc, he had no response for me because he was dumbfounded and lost for words.
I hate to say it, Jason, but if he were my brother, I would've done the same thing, except that when the kid wasn't around, I would have taught him a lesson in familial respect.
Hang in there Jason, as your nephew grows older, he'll likely contact you to help him escape from the miserable upbringing your brother is likely to give him as a result of his cult membership. I know, because I contacted my uncle for help in dealing with my parents and their cult. He was always there for me and my father had no choice but to deal with it.
Don't let your weak-minded brother win. Make yourself available to your nephew at every opportunity, and disregard the vitriole that spews from your brother's mouth. Your nephew will love you for it, and your brother, at some point, will have to deal with a son that loves his uncle more than his dad.
