what is the stupidest thing a jw ever told you?

we all know that they say a lot of stupid things, but what really topped the cake?.

for me, it was an elder telling me i was progressing really well when my meeting attendance was down and my field service hours were slipping.

I was told the reason some JW parents are verbally abusive towards their children was because they are targets of Satan, thus the pressure satan puts on "god's people" forces them to be verbally abusive to their children.

I kid you not

my daughter was telling me yesterday that she was explaining the differences between jehovah's witnesses and other religions to her co-workers.

she explained that witnesses can't date "worldly" people-----only fellow witnesses.

she said jws don't celebrate birthdays because they are "pagan".......it dawned on my daughter that it was very incredible all the things jehovah's witnesses don't believe in or will not do.....can you think of different things that only jws do or do not do??

2 elders came to my door today, at noon sharp, and i opened the door to let them in.

they didn't want to come in, so they stood at the door and asked me, "what's stopping you from coming to the hall"?

they only come once a year and always around christmas time.

Ditto - If I believed they had the truth, I would be there all the time. But there is way too much evidence against them having this truth. So then, why go and sacrifice your entire friggin life for absolutley nothing at all?

Proof of adultery to get scriptural freedom

i am in a situation where my ex-wife left me.

i had survellaince done on her place by two members of my family.

this was done over a several month time frame.

use the scriptures at Romans 13:13 and 1 Thessalonians 5:7 to state that badness only happens at night.

This is a classic example of how ridiculous this organization is. I mean this is on my top 10 list of most idiotic things I have ever heard!! Have they never heard of afternoon delight?

alright i understand that this board is full of non-believers, maybe you believe in evolution(which btw i hate very much) or maybe you are a atheist.

and another thing i notice is that this board is very much against the jw's.

anyway i might be only 22, but i know and i understand more things in this world than half the suckas in this world.
