I truly believe that these big shots at brooklyn have it so much easier than anyone else around. They call all the shots without an ounce of critisism from anyone within the org. If they do it is considered the same as pointing a gun at your head and pulling the trigger. Sounds much like the former Iraq doesn't it.

It seems as of late ( I have only been gone 7 months ) that the witnesses are changing their tune on this one. They are very content on using the ultimate copout "God will read their hearts". Well if that is the case, none of should be destroyed, because I am sure all of us have pretty decent hearts. Since heart condition pretty well boils down to motivation and intentions. ALL here are convinced in our hearts through experience and other means that the witnesses do not have the truth, so how can we ever be blamed for whatever we have done?

How relieved are you now that your finally set free?
by micheal ini was thinking back to the time when i was in my "spiritual paradise" oh about 7 months ago and i can really remember just how unhappy most people really were.
most seemed so loaded down with "privledges" and "responsiblilities" that it just sucked the life out of them.
any spirit they may previously had had faded to mere a shell of their former selves.

You know my last year or so being there I never could agree with the wt when it said that our burdens and problems came from the world. No ALL of my burdens and problems came from within. It was finally acknowledging this that I fully realized God cannot be with these people. Whether I could never do enough, brother and sister stupid face, assignments, guilt, fear etc... It is no wonder that I and many many others had to go on anti depressants, not because of the world, but because of this self proclaimed "spiritual paradise" that I got sucked into.
Thank god I am forever free of that!!!

The 10 point resolution adopted at the 2003 District Conventions
by crownboy inas most of you probably already know, from time to time the watchtower society likes to use district conventions as a platform for adopting silly resolutions, which more than likely are forgotten by the people who gave their approval to it by the time they leave the parking lot of the convention.
this year, during the final talk of the convention (talk entitled: "keep bearing much fruit to jehovah's glory"), a ten point resolution was adopted, with all the baby seal-like clapping following its adoption.

3. Think about what everyone else is doing on a beautiful saturday afternoon

by unique1 inin a reply to me concerning my mothers prompting for us to join her at the assembly next sunday and then go to dinner with them, my husband confessed dinner and a good brainwashing were his idea of a good time followed by the next little paragraph that was so inspired, and sarchastic, i had to share.. by 'brainwashing', of course, i mean heart warming stories of.

cover such an intense biblical lesson in only half the time it normally.

Side Note: Try relating YOUR "encouraging experiences" and see just how readily they will want to listen.
