Cleaned it up a bit for you..
apparently the .org site is getting 1200 bible study requests per day.
well that's what they claim anyway.
dos anyone think this is true?.
1,200?
Is that all?
To org folk those numbers may seem like something to shout about. Until you peel off the WT blinkers and step out into the real world.
Here's some real world numbers to think about.
EMINEM has 94,398,773 individual people following his face book page..
Rhiana: 85,001,512
Shakira: 81,096,090
Christiano Ronaldo: 72,775,745
Lady Gaga: 67,374,921
Just the 5 individual above have almost 400 million individual fans between them.
Even the Simpsons which is a cartoon for goodness sake has ten times more followers at 70,045,642 in 25 years than the Org has in 130.
Roughly 3,703,064,798 people on this planet believe in a God. Only 7 million of that number claim to believe in the God as taught by the Jehovah's Witnesses. What does that say?
So, apart from having the status of published the most unread copies of any magazine in history (I wonder what environmental damage this cost in terms of trees..) the Org and it's boastful census I mean stat keeping is merely an inaudible blip in the numbers game.
One crummy Christmas pop song by a hot chick in a short skirt can generate greater stats in a weekend.
I feel so many here are just paying this org all way too much importance.
in a 2013 article currently on jw.org (reference 1), the jws bragged about how their website is translated into 300 languages and that it reaches, according to alexa statistics, 890,000 unique users every day.. what about the monthly stats?
the site websitetrafficspy.com (reference 2), which draws its statistics from alexa, reports that there are an estimated 3.2 million unique visitors every month for jw.org.*.
since the 2013 memorial had an attendance of 19.2 million (reference 3), this could be understood as 1/6 of the jws and their friends visited the site on a monthly basis.. this is not unexpected as the internet itself is used only by 39% of the planet at this time (reference 4).. hence, the number of languages in which the website is translated does not offer any guaranty as to its information being accessed or even be accessible at all to most of the planets population.. .
If a household has only one computer with 4 active members, they will all be counted as one unique visitor. So, I believe this should balance out.
I'm not so sure it balances out. We are not in the 80's where technology is a rare luxury any more. Nowadays practically every single mobile phone has an internet connection and almost everyone has a phone. Even homeless people have mobile phones.
I myself have about 6 devices that can connect to the net. If I used each one 3 times in one day to access the site I'd be counted 18 times. That's 540 times a month! Now we can see how their figures can be manipulated to kingdom come.
in this article gerrit talks about his father in the first and last paragraphs, what he says about him and his hope for him goes against all that witnesses have preached about the worldly for the last 100 years... as i recall aren't all the worldly supposed to be destroyed and never have a hope of everlasting life like jw's are, and isn't that the purpose of the preaching work to baptize and warn the worldly of this???
if not why do jws even preach, or even become jws in the first place if all have a hope of everlasting life, jw and non-jw, are they releasing a little hint at new light to come???
or am i just missing or over analyzing something?.
BTW: 'There is to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous (those heretofore unacquainted with God's will).'
Then that can include just about anyone and everyone as no one at all knows what God's will is. What we think God's will is entirely based upon heresay and simply the words and opinion of another person. That is not knowing God's will.

Those stats are rubbish..
There are 7,782,346 active publishes in the world.
Jw.org has received an estimated 7,639,900 visits over the last 30 days. The number of visits differs from visitors (or unique visitors). Visits includes multiple visits from the same individual (repeat visits).
That's 254,662 non-unique visitors a day.
So.. if we assume each member visits jw.org just once a month this alone will account for the websites total visitors. The truth is that vast numbers of these members probably visits the site easily 10 times a day every single day (repeat visits) and on multiple devices so these visitor figures plummet drastically.
So.. yes jw.org is being heavily promoted but mostly only among themselves. The world on the other had really does not seem to give a dam.
.. this song was just sent to me... it`s funny!...

has anyone had success with a high traffic website or blog ?.
it might take a team of people to accomplish.. ads pay and people count, lots and lots of people.
does jehovahs-witness.net make money every time someone looks at the web site?
You deserve every penny Simon..
i put the kingdom first - by sheree stokell.
so they dunked me in a pool.
armageddon would be here soon.
Maybe that should read: "I Put the Organisation First".
Very sad though..
so we went to calgary zoo today and i'm torn between zoo's being great for conservation vs using animals to make money.
i think on the whole they are a good thing but it's sad to see some of the animals caged up - somehow i always end up staring into the eyes of a gorilla and it makes me sad.. but that isn't what struck me ... it's these things:.

Zoos don't make that much money from just entry fees.
London zoo seems to get by..

How they manage this from only an average 2,730 visitors a day I don't know.
