"The Bible does say to beware of false prophets and not to live by fear of man."
Warning someone who is stranded out on the African savannah that lions are dangerous is not preventing lions from preying upon them.
as i fade further from the jws, i'm finding it increasingly hard to maintain faith in god.
i've been exploring many alternatives from atheism, agnostic, apathetic, pagan, and satanism (not devil worship, but the promotion of self-indulgence) to name a few.
i'm thoroughly intrigued to learn how those of you who remained christian managed to maintain your faith in god and christ, especially after enduring all the lies that we've been told about them.

"Again, don't be angry with God....he didn't do nothing to you to mislead you"
Or prevent you being mislead.

I didn't.
Once I started examining my beliefs I realised that the JW god is no more or less likely to exist than any other.
Maintaining faith in the face of contradictory evidence was never an option - I simply knew so little I thought my position was tenable. It most certainly was not.
do you think when someone takes things personally in a way they are "selfcentered" because "its all about them" .... or does it mean maybe that the person is just very caring and sensitive?.
"(a phrase people use as a disclaimer to make an excuse to say or do something rude or mean to you to prevent you from having a poor self-image or so there won't be repercussions").
when a person says not to take it personally, don't they mean it may be upset them ... just like they are requesting you not to be upset ?.
To quote Al Murray "Don't take it personally, it's not personal - It's general... That means it includes you".
i've been working on this one for a few weeks and it is finally done.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inmzhysxa-o.
here's the description from the youtube video:.
baptism is a risk!
They say the exact opposite.
This kind of thing just gives fuel to the "Apostates twist the facts and tell half-truths" bonfire.
If they printed an article which said "some people think gay sex is groovy but Jehovah hates it" - would you then make a youtube video called = Gay sex is groovy says JW.org?
I appreciate the time and effort you put in and I enjoy watching your content - but this is not helpful.
over many years i have looked at jwn.
in fact barely a day goes by without my fix.. .
it is a site of contradictions.. .
I love this place and owe my mental emancipation to some of the people here.
That's because my beliefs were challenged; not forgiven.
some people don't realise that attacking darwin's personal life over evolution is nonsensical as he was not the only scientist with the theory at the time.
many scientists were debating the idea including darwin's father and grandfather.
amongst the people throwing the theory around was a young poor welshman with a love for biology and questions, his name was alfred, yes everyone could calm down a welsh :) man called alfred wallace was also on the case...... many don't know that he contributed much to the theory too.
Eh, it's just past noon so I guess I can tip one up for him!
Geezer had one hell of a brain on him.

funny but maybe effective, too.. metatron.
That's brilliant.
it just amazes me how born again christians and jws are fighting and mudslinging at each other all the while not looking at the real problem in front of them the bible.
the bible has been used for thousands of years to committ all sorts of horrible crimes against others.
i am so sick and tired of reading about jws did this and that and christians did this and that when both groups will refuse to explain all of the contradictions and outright discrepencies in the bible.
for you ex-jehovahs witnesses...and even you current ones...have you ever contemplated your future existence in paradise earth, should you be fortunate enough to end up there?
during those raucous, fun moments at the kingdom hall when you were contemplating eternity and having the times of your lives...did you ever speculate about what life would be like?
for example, would you have to walk everywhere or would you be able to fly around like superman?
People in glass churches shouldn't fire trebuchets.
Jus' sayin'.
