I'm curious why it matters what Einstein believed about god?

Millions die in Natural disasters - God is doing nothing. Do I adopt Anthropomorphism to him?
by KateWild ini do not think god is a'morphic.
god is not human, so hence he does not possess human characteristics, to know god better and to understand him better i study science.
there has been a new discovery of strange signals picked up from black holes and distant supernovae suggest there's more to space-time than einstein believed.

Where else is there to go?
by snare&racket inwhen i left the jw's, close friends and some elders discussed my desicion with me,without fail they all concluded the same thing.... "but where else is there to go?!".
at the time, the question just confused me, i could not see why it confused me or the very telling nature of such a comment.
i never thought that once.. firstly, this indicates that many jw's remain jw's simply because of this tunnel vision perspective... everything in their periphery is valueless, but the wt on which they focus is everthing.

I've been asked this exact question by two dubs I spoke to... Best I could do at the time was "get out of her my people" and "flee to the mudachuffin' mountains". [Which fell kind of flat - they both knew I don't believe in the bible]
Great post (I think all of the varied "kinds" of Jdub fall under two Species: those who will leave for reasons pertaining to corruption and doctrine - and those who will not... I'm willing to bet you only hear this question from those who will not).

As a boy
I was certain of only two things:
God's anger,-
and apparent inability to set dates
by the Gregorian calender
I was out-raged but in-doctrinated
And although it's complicated,-
all it really took was a couple of days
researching the couple of pages
before the book of Revelation
to destroy my faith in biblical inspiration(for good)

Are You Embarrassed Because You Were A Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus ini am not.
everyone makes mistakes..

No. I am personally ashamed of the self-deceit I engaged in and the mental gymnastics it took to maintain my beliefs... But I'm not embarrassed to say I did it.
Just glad I stopped.

Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for clearing that up for me bro, I'd hate to give a dub a smug-gasm by letting them correct me.
Where would we be without this wonderful moral guidebook eh?

I'm confused. How can they quote verses 7,8 and say that David spared Mephibosheth??
Verse 9 says he handed them all over to be killed.
"For that matter, it is proper to ask someone to show loving-kindness toward us. This was done by Jonathan, son of Israel’s first king, Saul. Jonathan asked his beloved younger friend David to show loving-kindness toward him and his household. (1 Samuel 20:14, 15; 2 Samuel 9:3-7) David remembered this when he avenged the Gibeonites wronged by Saul. Recalling “the oath of Jehovah” between him and Jonathan, David exercised loving-kindness by sparing the life of Jonathan’s son Mephibosheth. (2 Samuel 21:7, 8)"
The Watchtower 7/15 1991. Always pursue loving kindness. Page something or other.
Am I missing something here?

1 Cor 2 v 14?
by LucidChimp ina loved one of mine who is now "out" mentally (and waiting patiently on other family members so they can get "out" physically too) pointed this change out to me after an assembly day just recently.
not being one of the chosen few who carry around the new silver spoon - they noticed the difference in their old bible as the speaker was reading from the new one.. .
nwt: but a physical man does not recieve the things of the spirit of god (1 cor 2 v 14).
